I was very happy with the assistance I received from the Walmart employees in the vision department. They had amazing customer service and helped me quickly; however, the doctors side was not very helpful. I was desperate for vision and guided to come here from the connected Walmart location I go to. Walmart was able to verify to the doctor I have been a customer for a long time. They pulled up my account and prescription no problem and saw that I just placed an order with them days prior. The doctor had still made the executive decision to not honor Walmarts customer service and provide me with a sample contact to hold me over until my order arrived…… I’ve never been denied the service before especially upon verifying my account status. The doctor made me place a whole new order just to get a sample contact. Turns out they only had one eye prescription in stock, thankfully it was the one contact that cracked. I paid $148 with one office just to pay the $148 all over again with them. I received the separate orders the same day so now I have a ton of contacts. It’s disappointing because I really wanted to like this location as it’s close to the hospital I work at. But unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

I am giving this office a three. This is because the first time I went with my daughter, we were greeted, our appointment was on time, the Dr. was knowledgeable and we were able to use our insurance with no hassles. Today, however, was a different experience. Again, we had an appointment, arrived 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork and make sure the insurance was still accepted. The office was filled with people waiting for appointments and some walk-ins. There was not enough seating for all and many were left standing. Forty minutes after our appointment, I approached the desk and asked how much longer the wait would be. We were told we would be seen soon. Another ten minutes and a lady from behind the desk helped my 4 year old son through the prelim exam and then we were just left. So we sat down. We saw people who had come after us breeze through the pre-exams and were now seeing dr's (of which there were two). I went to the desk, as we had now been waiting over an hour past our appointment and were told that they were backed up but we would see the Dr. soon. I explained how people who had come in after us had filled out paperwork and were seen before us, had already finished and left, maybe the Dr. could call us with the results?. There was no answer other than the Dr. overhearing us and stating that she would see us now. I went in, but my eldest daughter, who is 20 and was sitting in the waiting room, overheard one of the receptionist/optometry assistants say "She is sure impatient." (Actually, I was told the words were more harsh but I will not repeat them here). I have two problems with this. My time is just as important as anyone else, hence why I make appointments. When I have to wait over an hour to see a Dr., it is irksome to have others walk in, fill out paperwork and then get seen. I am a paying customer and this is not for free. Yes, I had a small child needing an exam, but to see the Dr. walk back his file to the front and see another person, made me a bit concerned. I am allowed to ask why I have to wait an hour, and another adult patient only 20 minutes, without the staff remarking about my concern to the front desk and to all in the waiting room. This experience was so different from my first, that they should be happy that this was not my first as I would then never use them again. However, all can have bad days, all can have too many people walk in and clog the system. I get that, but to have staff talk badly about a client when the client is in the room, that is beyond the pale. So be glad, Walmart Vision and Glasses that I am giving you a three and not a two. Maybe work a bit on customer service and expectation management of wait times would be my high recommendation.

Had our whole family waiting three and a half hours for an 80 dollar pair of contacts that weren't even the right prescription. Didn't even show him how to put them in before rushing us out so they could close. We got there at at 3pm. They close at 6. Will NEVER come back.
