Due to our insurance situation and the severity of our son’s cataracts, we had to get the surgeries done within a very short time. Arlene, the receptionist, patiently and courteously spent hours calling vendors to get my son in ASAP for surgeries. Arlene is always friendly and never complains about how hard it was to get the surgeries on the schedules of the hospitals. She also scheduled the COVID tests swiftly and timely. Dr. Sun is always very warm, friendly, and patient with our questions. He took the time to listen to us and answered every question we had with great patience, never rushing us. The surgeries went smoothly and my son can’t get over how clearly he can see now, even right after he just had the first one done. Now that he has both of his eyes done, he feels his life has been transformed! Thanks so much Dr. Sun and Arlene!

I find Dr. Sun to be a most competent doctor and very professional, but there is also a pronounced quality of humaneness peeping through the cool and austere cloak of being a doctor he usually wears. I genuinely like him and trust in his abilities. The women who assist him in the running of his practice are also very skilled in performing their job plus genuinely seem to care.

When calling to make an appointment, the secretary said "Yes, we accept Ambetter insurance" and did not ask if I was referred, or had vision on my plan. His website does not list Ambetter as an accepted insurer. I was billed $300+ for one eye exam with a insignificant discount applied because she collected a $20 copay when I arrived. I called the doctor, and was put on hold for a long time by the secretary; said I also had a medical question so I could talk to him about that bill (my eye was sore). I said it was not fair that they said they accept my insurance. He said that was between me and my insurance company, he does not do the billing (though the bill return envelope is addressed to him). I said I would write a bad review about their poor service and outrageous billing. He said "I don't care, I don't go online." So this review is here for you to read and to consider seeing a doctor that will care instead. He deserves to go to court, but I am older and have high blood pressure so this would be risky for me at this time. He is the most rude and greedy doctor I've ever met. Avoid.
