My family has been coming here for years now, and it's always been a positive experience. I find it enlightening to have a doctor spend time chatting with you instead of rushing to get to the next patient. She has always answered any questions I had and checking for hereditary eye issues that my mother had. Thanks doc!

Empathetic and pleasant.

A friend suggested this place when I was visiting PA and after my visit I went to review it and was surprised by the negative reviews! I had such a good experience here. My eyes are a bit unusual and when I tell most optometrists my prescription they look at me like I'm lying, but that wasn't the case! The exam to check that my eyes weren't getting worse (my fear) was extremely pleasant. Got a great pair of glasses and a very reasonably priced backup pair. Were I in Allentown again, and in need of glasses, I'd absolutely return.

Not sure why the bad reviews. Nothing but a good experience. I, myself, am a healthcare provider. There is nothing short of professionalism, honesty, ease of appt, kindness, consideration and going above and beyond in this practice. I feel confident in the Dr's ability in providing the best, most up to date care out there.

Dr. Monica is wonderful! She explains things thoroughly and I very much appreciate her ability to get right to whatever the issue is. My kids love her too and she has helped them with more than one eye injury.

I had heard nothing but ranting and raving from my boyfriend about how awesome this office was so I scheduled an appointment. I then went into the office for his next visit and he saw a different doctor than before. We were never told the old doctor that he had seen had left this practice. The only doctor now working there was extremely rude to us, talked down to us like we were stupid for not know the letter K was never on the charts and because we didnt know out of all of the words on a contact package, exactly which was the brand. She also started the beginning of his appointment like it was an interrogation. She would continue to laugh at us and talk down to us throughout the rest of his appointment. Shortly after we left, I canceled my upcoming appointment because if I am going to spend my hard earned money on a service like this, I will not give my money to someone who is disrespectful and rude to myself and her other patients.

The doctor and employees are really nice. They have a nice selection of glasses.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Rude, smart aleck doctor and manager. Argumentative, incompetent staff from top to bottom. Screwed up with my insurance carrier and refused to submit corrections on their part that ended up with me having to shell out $850. Looking into which one to sue, insurance company, or this eye care joint. Ridiculous.

Dr. Martocci provides such a fun experience when it comes to making an eye appointment. Her and her staff truly take the time to speak with you not only about your needs, but also makes time for creating personal connections with all of her patients as well. Now that Dr. Martocci officially runs West End Family Eye Care, her fun and very extroverted personality makes the wait for an eye appointment 100% worth it.

I've been going here for years and once I had kids I started bringing them here too. They are amazing with my kids and we always have a wonderful experience.

I highly recommend Dr. Martocci she is such a nice and caring doctor.

go to an appointment for an eye exam almost a month prior to the exam called the morning of the exam after taking time off from work and was told they had no exam for me that I must have called the wrong office could do nothing for me fully booked so I took a half day off of work and did not get the exam do yourself a favor find someplace else to have your eye care taken care of

If we could give this place negative stars we would give them negative five stars. My boyfriend went in for a contact eye exam, and was told by the optometrist to try out a new brand of contacts for his astigmatism. The optometrist failed to advise him that even though this is a trial pair, she will put it down on as the brand on his prescription and in the case that he does not like them, she will charge him an additional $65 to have the listed brand changed. This is on top of the $100 he already paid for the eye exam. Long story short, the brand contacts they gave him did not feel good so he wanted them to change it to what he usually gets, we called their office and they said they will charge $65 for that. All that was being asked to change was the brand of contacts, nothing else. Also, he was changing it to what he usually gets, the only reason he opted in to try something different was because the doctor suggested to do so. It was pretty much a bait and trap. This place is a small hole in the wall with a staff that needs to really train themselves on what customer service is. The fact that this office is not a franchise and has such a poor way of conducting business, makes it very obvious that they won't be around long. We're in 2018, and when you're a small business your best bet is to reel new customers in and find a way to keep them versus finding a way to make sure they do not come back. Everyone in that office lacks manners and has no clue on what good business practices are. They are just looking to rip you off in what ever way they can. Hopefully they sooner than later decide to invest in customer service and business 101 training. DO NOT GO HERE, there are plenty other places you can go that actually value you and your business. Negative five stars is what they deserve as a rating.

The hours on google are incorrect for West End Family Eye Care the hours of operation are Monday 8 - 5 Tuesday 8 - 6 Wednesday 8 - 5 Thursday 8 - 6 Friday 8 - 5 The office is closed on Saturday and Sunday

So disappointed after 3 months waiting for my son appointment they called me today 2 days before the appointment to tell me they don't accept my insurance when that was the first thing I asked. Now I have to find a new place and wait until October now....

Extremely rude and unprofessional experience.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Martocci for well over ten years now and I can’t recommend her highly enough. She’s extremely professional and knowledgeable but also fun! She was so patient with me when I switched over to contacts from glasses, taking the time to personally help me learn how to get them into and out of my eyes comfortably. Her staff are courteous and sharp. I’ve always had a wonderful experience, a lot of these reviews are old and don’t reflect the current practice.

Woman who answered the phone was extremely polite and had a sweet voice. Eye doctor is always a delight to be around and is never awkward.

The doctor was the RUDEST person EVER!!! Take it from a guy that has the worst vision. She lacks a lot of professional skills and shouldn't be around people. If you value your vision, please stay away or you'll be sorry.

Dr. Monica is a fantastic DR. She handles special needs children and adults.
