I am writing to formally address a profound and unacceptable failure in patient care and communication regarding my elderly relative’s scheduled surgery. We extended grace after the first last-minute rescheduling due to clinic conflicts. However, discovering by chance—only after calling to verify paperwork—that a second scheduled surgery was cancelled without anyone bothering to notify the patient is utterly disgraceful.This level of administrative negligence is a severe breach of trust. It demonstrates a complete disregard for patient well-being and dignity. 'I am sorry' is entirely meaningless in the face of the actual consequences: an elderly patient undergoing unnecessary stress and thousands of dollars wasted on caregiver fees solely to accommodate appointments your office failed to keep. A medical clinic cannot operate with this level of dysfunction. How this office chooses to rectify this massive failure remains to be seen, but a formal review has been documented, and further escalation to patient advocacy and regulatory boards is considered.

They are very friendly. Dr M is great with my 89yo Dad. Dad asks a lot of repeat questions and Dr M always answers them kindly.

Have been a patient here for almost 20 years and have never been so disappointed in Wheaton eye clinic. Had a 6 month follow up at 8:30 with Dr. Geiser. I arrived by 8:20 checked in at took a seat. 15 minutes later I get called for appointment,starting with tests prior to seeing doctor. Today was unusual in that things were a little slower than normal and called into examination room to have my eye pressure tested. After eye pressure test I was asked to leave examination room which has never happened before and go back to waiting room. It is now 9:30 and I get called back into the examination room again and told to take a seat,I ask why things are so so and I am told Doctor wasn’t there yet. I had to pick up my granddaughter at 10:00 in lisle, thought 1 hour waiting time is absolutely unacceptable by any kind of business. I got up and said this is unacceptable and walked out.

Seems like they schedule their appointments 10 minutes apart to accommodate the doctors convenience. When I arrived for my appointment 10 minutes early, there was nine or 10 cars in the parking lot, and when I left having had waited an hour to see the doctor, there was 1 so he had all those people backed up in front of me and I had to wait an entire hour. The Hinsdale and Wheaton locations were great. This one not so much. Also, I think the receptionist checked her personality at the door cause if she had one she was hiding it pretty well.

My husband and I have been seeing doctors here for several years; we've been very happy with the care the entire staff has provided. I have taken 1 star off because the wait time can be longer than one would expect. Although one could argue it has to do with all the different preliminary exams that are needed before seeing the doctor.

The wait was incredible long. My appointment was set for 1:50pm . I left after 3:30pm because I still hadn’t been seen. I was already upset because I had to wait two months after rescheduling my appointment to be seen at this office again. And to come in two months later and still couldn’t be seen was very frustrating.

Excellent customer service over the phone fast,friendly, and knowledgeable. Agents were very helpful in assisting me with my insurance inquiries being sure to avoid any billing issues. Office staff during my exam and evaluation are all skilled at each of their duties. I’ve been wearing glasses for over 50 yrs. and hands down, this was the most thorough and precise exam I ever had. Knowing they have been in business since 1944 tells me they are doing things right.

This is a quiet, very efficiently run clinic. You are greeted promptly upon entry and at all points you know who you'll see next/etc. Staff were professional, thorough and friendly. I was reassured as I'm relocating to a new location with an all new medical team. Go here-you won't be disappointed!

I've never had a bad experience with Wheaton eye clinic. The doctors that I've seen and my daughter have seen have been very kind and helpful. It's always a good experience. I did like the Barlett location a little better, only because it was less crowded.

Came here with elderly mom and the nurses were so nice and helpful and patient… mom is very satisfied. Receptionists could do better, couple of people in front of me had simple questions about insurance and she doesn’t care and seems that she won’t be interested in learning anything about how to answer nicely.

I would have given 6 stars if I could have. Let me preface this by saying that I have worked in this field for over 20 years. While I have been out of private practice for almost 2 years, I am still in Ophthalmology. Our visit with Dr. McIntyre was nearly flawless, or as flawless as an eye appointment can be. The wait time was well within the norm. The staff were knowledgeable, smiling, accommodating and friendly. The doctor was wonderful, and I have worked with many. He was patient, incredibly thorough, and forthcoming with his findings. Overall this was a far superior visit than anticipated. Our expectations were not only met, but exceeded.

We chose wheaton eye clinic based on the positive reviews from previous patients. My 12 year old had an eye exam and the entire staff worked so well with her, and did a good job keeping me informed. I would definitely recommend.

My 4.5 year old is autistic and minimally verbal, Tyler and Dr. McIntyre made his appointment so easy and stress free. Everyone we came in contact with was wonderful. I would travel great distances to come back to this clinic and will be making appointments for the rest of my family!

I started going to Wheaton Eye Clinic because I needed Cataract Surgery. I met with Dr. McIntyre, and was very pleased with him. His way of explaining the procedure was very easy for me to understand and he seemed to catch on quickly to all my concerns. He then met with me before the surgery to make sure I felt comfortable and was at easy. The surgery went well and he once again showed concern and compassion for my well being. I have gone to a few of their office locations and all the staff, except for one, seems to be just as concerned and friendly as the Doctor. Also, it seems that not only do they have a file with all my history and other important information but they actually read it too!

I had those most wonderful experience, the receptionist was so welcoming, my nurse assistance was so helpful and caring. Making sure I was comfortable with each phase of my evaluation. The physician explained everything and that gives them all 110%. Kudos to Wheaton Eye. Bartlett.

We so appreciate Dr. Wingard's professional and personal approach to my husband and me as his patients. He listens well, gives clear explanation as to what's happening with our vision and how we can best be treated. We is very knowledgeable and very cutting edge, always keeping us informed about the newest drugs and procedures available. He communicates very honestly with sensitivity and hope. He is also very forward thinking, anticipating what the future may hold.
