Dr. Elise Kramer is a residency-trained optometrist based in Miami, FL, specializing in ocular surface disease and the design and fitting of specialty contact lenses. She earned her Doctorate in Optometry from the Université de Montréal in 2012. During her studies, she participated in a humanitarian mission to Laayoune, Morocco, where she provided free eye examinations and glasses to hundreds of individuals in need.

In her fourth year, she completed an internship focused on ocular disease at the Eye Centers of South Florida, followed by a residency at the Miami VA Medical Center, which included training at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. After her residency, Dr. Kramer became a Fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society (SLS), where she now serves as Vice President. Additionally, she is the Vice President of Women in Eyecare (WiE), a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), the International Association of Contact Lens Educators (IACLE), and a Fellow of both the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) and the British Contact Lens Association (BCLA).

Dr. Kramer is an accomplished author, having published numerous articles and reviews, and she actively participates in clinical research trials. Passionate about education, she lectures internationally in multiple languages on topics related to ocular surface disease and specialty lenses.
