Eye Doctor Sastry Raghunan

Dr. Raghunand Sastry is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in ophthalmology, ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery and facial cosmetic surgery. He treats diseases affecting the eye, the eyelids, tear ducts, muscles and nerves surrounding the eyeball and the bones of the eye socket. Dr. Sastry has practiced in the San Jose area since 2001.

He received a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from New York University. He completed medical school at State University of New York-Downstate Medical Center and did his ophthalmology residency at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. During his internship, he completed a clinical research elective in otology/skull base surgery at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. After his residency, he did a fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and facial cosmetic surgery under the guidance of Dr. Amiya Prasad in New York City.

Dr. Sastry has two offices -- one in San Jose, CA and another in Morgan Hill, CA. He lives in the bay area with his wife and three children. His hobbies include volunteering for extracurricular activities in his children's school, hiking. He is also an avid tennis player.
