GEOFF HSU

A South Bay native, Dr. Hsu grew up in nearby Rancho Palos Verdes where he attended Palos Verdes Peninsula High School. After high school he moved to Orange County and earned his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine. From there, he continued his studies at the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton, CA, graduating with his doctorate in optometry.

Dr. Hsu is experienced in all facets of optometry including ocular disease and specialty contact lenses. He has experience working in various settings such as the hospital of Veterans’ Affairs in West Los Angeles, the University Eye Center at Los Angeles, the Wellish Vision Institute in Las Vegas, the University Optometric Center at Irvine, and private practices across Southern California. He has worked closely with ophthalmologists including co-managing difficult ocular disease cases and post-surgical patients. He started Simply Optometry with Dr. Hua to provide eye care to the community he grew up with and give patients the best experience possible for all their eye and vision-related needs.

When he’s not working, Dr. Hsu enjoys watching sports including football, basketball, baseball, and tennis. He is a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia 76ers, and even a couple local teams such as the Los Angeles Angels and Los Angeles Rams. He is a season ticket holder to the Los Angeles Rams. Besides sports, he also enjoys cooking, graphic design, playing Tetris, home improvement, and watching movies.
