Gordon Newman, M.D. is a board-certified, comprehensive ophthalmologist with a special interest in cataract and lens implant surgery. Dr. Newman earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his medical degree from New York Medical College. Following his internship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, he served for two years in the U.S. Navy. His ophthalmology training was completed at Ohio State University Hospital and fellowship training in Washington, D.C. After moving to Dallas, Dr. Newman opened this practice. For more than 20 years, he served as a clinical instructor at U.T. Southwestern Medical School and was chairman of the ophthalmology department at St. Paul Hospital. Dr. Newman has repeatedly been selected as a “Top Doc” in D magazine and Texas Monthly, and as one of the “Top Doctors in America”.
