Dr. Sargent is a native of Dallas, TX, and completed his medical degree with honors at UT Southwestern Medical Center.  He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society.  Dr Sargent received his ophthalmology training at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, one of the top training programs in the country.  

Dr Sargent specializes in the medical and surgical management of diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye syndrome and cataracts.  In addition, he is heavily involved in the Baylor University Medical Center's ophthalmology department, with an interest in ocular trauma.  He has been recognized as one of Texas Monthly Super Doctors "Rising Stars" and D Magazines "Best Doctors."

Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Sargent enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah and his 4 sons.
