Dr. Peter MacIntosh practices in the Department of Ophthalmology at UI Health. Dr. MacIntosh is dual fellowship-trained in neuro-ophthalmology and oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery. His interests include evaluation of optic nerve abnormalities; idiopathic intracranial hypertension; optic neuritis; ischemic, inflammatory, and compressive optic neuropathies; diplopia; facial paralysis; blepharospasm. Dr. MacIntosh also is the director of the Ophthalmology Residency Training Program, and he has a special interest in education and curriculum development. He is an associate professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.
