Ronald L. Fellman, MD – Biography
Dr. Ronald Fellman joined the Glaucoma Associates of Texas (GAT) in 1983 after completing his glaucoma fellowship at the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. His commitment to caring for patients with glaucoma is evident by his research endeavors and patient advocacy for over 30 years.
In addition to a fulltime clinical practice, Dr. Fellman currently serves as Secretary for the American Glaucoma Society (AGS). He has been the recipient of numerous awards including the first President’s Award from the AGS as well as the Secretariat and Senior Honor Awards from the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO). He is past Chair of the Patient Care committee of the AGS and prior AGS councilor to the AAO. Dr. Fellman has co-authored over 50 published papers and 20 book chapters on the medical and surgical management of glaucoma.
Dr. Fellman enjoys music composition, playing in a band, and spending time with his wife and 3 daughters fly-fishing.
