Dr. Smolyansky obtained an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in neuroscience from Loyola University Chicago. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry; where she graduated cum laude and had the honor of receiving the Polly Flink Eastland Memorial Award. Dr. Smolyansky then went on to complete her residency in pediatric and binocular vision at the Illinois College of Optometry. Where she continues to serve as a part time clinical faculty.
Dr. Smolyansky examines patients of all ages for primary eye care and contact lens fittings, but has a passion for working with infants and toddlers. She has a special interest and expertise in binocular vision disorders, amblyopia and focusing problems.
Dr. Smolyansky holds memberships in the Illinois Optometric Associations, College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and American Optometric Association.
