Dr. Beitman is the best!! I got LASIK yesterday afternoon and I am back to work today. I can see absolutely perfect!! All of the staff at Beitman Eye Institute are so welcoming, encouraging and incredibly nice. If you're thinking of getting LASIK, do it!!

Dr. Beitman did a great job. I had consultations at a couple of different Lasik doctors but he made me feel the most comfortable in terms of his assessment of my vision and the results I could expect. A friend recommended the Beitman Eye Institute to me and I would definitely recommend Dr. Beitman to anyone I know who is interested in Lasik. It was all around a great experience. The support staff was also nice and very accommodating.

8 years ago Dr. Beitman changed my life for the better. I went from -4.75 in both eyes to 20/10 vision and it’s just as good now as when he did it. I have referred many of my friends and family to him and will continue to do so.

I had an original appointment for 3PM and called the morning of to switch my appointment to 2:15PM because something came up for work. The appointment was confirmed and I arrived on time. I waited 45 minutes before saying something to the front desk ladies. She went in the back to see what was taking so long and explained that they thought my appointment was at 3. I explained how my appointment was changed to 2:15. She relayed that information to the staff and after an hour of waiting I was called back. Definitely need to be more organized and it’s not cool to wait an hour after switching my appointment to an earlier time just to get called back an hour later.

I started having vision problems with my right eye. I was having episodes where my vision was going blurry, sometimes just in the center and sometimes the entire eye. It would stay like that the entire day. I was experiencing pain at times around my eye socket. The first time I saw Dr Greenly I was a bit put off because he wouldn’t let me talk, he kept cutting me off when I tried to explain to him what was going on. I had a few simple tests done and he diagnosed me with dry eye and prescribed a steroid drop and dry eye drops and scheduled me to come back in 2 weeks. My eye went from bad to worse over the next few days which was the weekend, so I called to get seen again because I knew I couldn’t wait 2 weeks. He saw me again and like before, he wouldn’t let me talk, he kept cutting me off so I couldn’t explain what I was experiencing. He got annoyed with me when he asked me how the dry eye drops were working for me, and I didn’t give him the answer he thought I should be giving (here’s a hint, I didn’t have dry eye) so then I could tell he was annoyed and he angrily decided to look at my eye again. I think he was shocked to see that I had an eye pressure of 42 (which is really bad). He immediately blamed the steroid drops claiming I must have had a reaction. He told me that I needed to quit the steroid drops and come back again in 2 weeks. He sent me on my way again, back at square one not knowing why I was losing vision, and he sent me out of his office with a pressure of 42, and no pressure drops to help bring it down. I left there in tears, my husband with a history of glaucoma, called his ophthalmologist and they were able to get me in the following week. The next morning, I woke up and started right away losing my vision and having extreme pressure pain around my eye socket. Thankfully, my husband had some pressure drops, so I used those and was able to get relief. Not everyone happens to have pressure drops in their stash of medicines. The next week I saw the new ophthalmologist, everyone in that office was extremely nice. They were so thorough and did a ton a tests. I was diagnosed that day with narrow angle glaucoma, and he gave me a script for glaucoma drops and referred me to an excellent glaucoma specialist, who I saw the following week. I had a laser procedure on both eyes, and I’m doing much better. Except now I have a posterior vitreous detachment that occurred during that time, in my right eye that may or may not go away. I had 2 wasted visits with Dr Greenly where he was unable to correctly diagnose my serious vision problem, which drastically delayed me getting the proper help I needed, and likely caused the PVD that I may have permanently now, and cost me money, over $200 that he’s trying to bill me for for wasting my time and risking my vision. I’ve called their office and have spoken to 3 different people to try and discuss this issue, they tell me they’ll call me back and they never do. So now I’m moving forward with writing reviews. I am also planning on filling complaints with the medical board, and my insurance company. This dr is incompetent, I do NOT recommend seeing him, he really needs to retire.

Dr Greenley is in excellent eye specialist. He correctly diagnosed my dry eye condition on the first appointment. He really knows his stuff. My previous eye doctor had not idea what was wrong. They have a natural dry eye supplement that corrects it. Six months after taking it my eyes cleared up; a year after I also noticed new hair growing where my hairline had receded.

I called Dr. Greenley as an ECP to help solve an issue with a mutual patient. The patient originally saw Dr. Greenley, but had to go to another doctor at the office for a recheck exam. Unfortunately, neither rx was working for him, so we reached out for assistance. Dr. Greenley would not cordially talk to me or listen to the issue the patient was having. He was very abrupt and kept telling me to fix the problem. I am, in fact, not a doctor and not authorized to change a prescription. Dr. Greenley kept emphasizing that the issue was our mistake and that we needed to change the seg ht of the glasses. We did remeasure and mark up the glasses but could not go any higher. We came to the realization that the 2nd rx reading power had decreased which is why the patient was having trouble. His old rx was a higher power. Finally, Dr. Greenley agreed that it was the issue, but insisted that I could change it. He said it was not their fault even though they are the ones that changed it. At no point did I asked for him to pay for it, just change the rx back with the appropriate add power. Again, Dr. Greenley was rude, abrupt, and would not let me or the patient explain the issue, instead he said to fix it and hung up the phone. After having his assistant call and ask for the fax number, he sent the wrong prescription. We had to get another doctor at the practice to correct the issue. It is very frustrating to not have a doctor listen to you. Later that day, a different patient came in and said they had an awful experience . . . with Dr. Greenley. The reviews on this doctor show this is the norm. I would be embarrassed to work with him treating our mutual patients this way. He has a record of being rude and condescending, especially towards women. I would steer clear of booking any kind of appointment with him.

De’Janae, Lina, and Bruce were phenomenal! So helpful, and made the normally arduous process of picking out frames so much fun. Both my husband and I ended up with frames that we’re thrilled with. Highly recommend working with these folks!

I have been using Henry Ford vision clinic for many years, for Cataract surgeries and for my recommended glasses. As usual, I was welcomed with smiles from the receptionist who directed to the waiting room to the end of my treatment. The initial vision tests were perfect followed by the Doctor's examination. Both of them explained what they were doing at every stage. They patiently answered my questions in friendly manner. With the excellent services I have been receiving over the years, I left the clinic during my last visit very happy and satisfied. I will surely recommend family and friends to obtain their vision needs at Henry Ford OptimEyes. Thank you all.
