I recommend it to anybody that wishes to see better. Jerred is a great Dr I'm able to see thanks to those caring hands. Thank you so much for everything you guys do.

Apparently it is the norm to wait a really long time for an appointment here. It was 1 hour 45 minutes after my appointment time until I was seen. I asked the front desk if this was typical to have this long of a wait and she confirmed it was. So, obviously they have a staff shortage, or a scheduling problem or something not quite right. However, I don’t enjoy going somewhere quite this disorganized and nonchalant about someone’s time. The staff was rather unfriendly as well. I work in healthcare. I know it should be better than this.

Dr Chism and his staff are very friendly and professional. Dr Chism is very prompt in returning phone calls. He explains things in plain english. I highly recommend his office and services.

Awesome staff ! The environment is serine it was quiet clean inviting. Follow up before the appointment and you want for it because they provide great customer service. Dr. are very knowledgeable, friendly great bedside manner. Thank you

I have been coming to Dr. Seaforth for years. She is always so pleasant, kind, and thorough. I feel confident that I can trust her eye exams. I always leave with a clear plan and all of my questions addressed.

Staff was so nice. Diedra was exceptional. She was so friendly and engaging. Didn’t make you feel you were just a number! Dr. Fergason… was so nice and answered questions. Made me feel very comfortable.

I can’t believe the level of incompetence and lack of care that I received while trying to see my ophthalmologist, Dr. S. Hitchman, or anyone in the group I called on a Thursday (around noon) to be seen as I had very blurry vision on my left eye. I was told that they referred me to “Triage” and to expect a callback. I received no call on Thursday or Friday. My vision did not improve and I decided to bring myself to Southwest General Hospital. I was admitted and had tests done, enough to pinpoint it was an eye issue and not a brain or head issue. Upon discharge on Sunday, SWGH instructed me to contact my ophthalmologist soonest possible. I called on Monday and the person on the phone indicated that she sees the email sent to the triage group and saw no response. Then, she claimed that she is resending another email, with an update, regarding my hospital admission. She advised that if I don’t get a callback, that I can call after hours and get connected to the on-call physician. I did call after hours, and after a long exchange, that they did not have an on-call physician for the ophthalmology group. No call from triage or UH on Tuesday. I called on Wednesday and was told that I had to pay upfront to continue to make the appointment to see the ophthalmologist. After much consternation, i said, “Okay, I’ll prepay. When can I see the doctor.” She said October 17. I reminded Tia that I was calling as per instructions of SWGH and that I am a diabetic and can’t see from my left eye. She politely responded, “That’s the earliest date we have.” A patient is going blind, and UH Eye Institute wants money upfront and tells patient to wait two months. Incredulous. At 1:15pm on Wednesday, I got a hold of the Cleveland Clinic, and they were able to squeeze me in ASAP. I had bleeding in both eyes, caused by diabetes, and they gave my eye the first injection to stop the bleeding. Shame, UH. Shame.

You go to vision doctor when you need help with your sight, not to be taken advantage of. I first started getting blurry vision in 2018 & I saw Dr. Jennifer Nguyen and a couple months later I saw Dr. Robert Consort. It was my first time having any vision problems, but I had work vision insurance so I found a place that had good reviews and I put my trust into this office. My prescription was +1.25 on both eyes after Dr. Nguyen checked me over. Then a few months later +1.25 on both sides. I did not know and I was not told that this prescription was available OTC at stores like CVS, Walgreens, Target, and Walmart usually around the pharmacy area. Instead I was sat down and sold 1500$ pair of glasses. As a first timer having vision problems I thought this was the normal price & I was told exactly what to do pick for my glasses. I honestly felt like I had picked the best place. Fast forward to this summer & my frames broke & I was starting to have trouble with my vision due to not having glasses. The thought of having to spend 1500$ on glasses again was not a good one, so I put it off for a while. Last week I went to a different doctors office and got my eyes checked & my vision is now +1.50/+1.75, the Dr. At this office told me my vision wasn’t that bad & I really only needed reading glasses & I could purchase them just about anywhere. He said if I wanted a nicer pair I could have one made at his office. Of course that’s when it hit me that the previous office I had trusted before had actually taken advantage of the fact that I was new to vision problems and sold me way extremely overpriced pair of reading glasses. I don’t recommend this office for eye vision needs, these types of sales tactics are devious. We put our trust doctors and to know they did this to get some extra money leaves such a bad taste. I hope this honest review helps someone avoid getting taken advantage of.
