Regarding the prior unsatisfactory review, this gentleman nor his wife is our patient. As often happens, some people confuse Dr. Cohen's private practice with the chain store...Cohen's Fashion Optical. Just wanted to set the record straight for anyone who might be reading reviews. : )

You wrote a review for Howard I Cohen OD One week ago 1.0 star rating 1/20/2022 I do not recommend Dr. Cohen. During an annual eye exam, I informed Dr. Cohen I was having difficulty seeing and my eyes felt scratchy. Dr. Cohen did not seem concerned and replied " Just use artificial tears drops" Dr. Cohen gave me a new prescription for glasses, which were ready 7 days later. When I put them on I was STILL unable to see clearly. After several days of hoping my eyes would adjust to the new prescription from Dr. Cohen - I still struggled to see. I decided to see another optometrist, who advised the script (by Dr. Cohen) was incorrect for my eyes, they were too powerful. Also I had an inflammation on the cornea's, I was instructed to stop using the artificial tears and to go see a cornea specialist ASAP. Which I have done and have been diagnosed with and infection in my eyelids (Blepharitis) and inflammation of the cornea (Keratits). The failure to identify this condition by Dr. Cohen could have cost me my vision. I am extremely lucky to have gotten a second option by a more knowledgable and competent optometrist.

Good Day I have been with Dr. Cohen for many years. I'm sure my insurance coverage has taken good care of this practice. No complaints til the last 2 years. I've noticed some uncomfortable attitude from the front desk clerk. I really tried to disregard it . But once I missed my appointment today,, with good reasons. This clerk really showed her true self, very rude, nasty and unbecoming.. She was the worst. As I read the reviews, this clerk has history. So sad, I will cater to a new eye practice its best, because I wasn't fairly treated when my glasses broke last year, and they should of been replaced according to my eye coverage. Not winning with the front desk clerk, she needs help. Peace out

Dr William Kasper has been my ophthalmologist for several years. He is outstanding in every way---thoroughly knowledgeable and experienced, wonderful bedside manner, very caring and positive outlook, and compassionate. Dr Kasper provides excellent and complete information/directions regarding conditions and protocols. He is a great credit to his profession. I feel very fortunate to have him as my doctor.

I was able to get a last minute appointment and I am very grateful. I saw Dr. Kasper, who, I thought, did a very through exam and prescribed me medication to relive my eye issue. The front desk staff and auxiliary staff were all friendly. I am very pleased with Sight MD in Garden City.

Very professional courteous staffing and excellent customer support. Dr. Karen was very thorough examining and reviewing my case. She went beyond her capacity to schedule my urgent appointment and treatment for horseshoe tear on my retina. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs to be in the need of eye sight.

Dr Wong and his Staff deserve more than a 10 star. I am a patient for many years and have always receive the very best of care. Let’s not forget Dr. Hayes as he is my ophthalmologist. The office is kept immaculate and that is also a plus. Thank you

Dr Stoller was very thorough in his examination of my eyes. The entire support staff were very understanding and patient. My only less positive comment is it would be good if when booking an appointment I would have been told to bring my drivers license and credit card so I could properly register at the kiosk
