Dr. Shakin is a wonderful doctor with great knowledge and excellent patient interaction. He made me feel relaxed and confident, and assessed my macular degeneration issue perfectly with a most positive result. The rest of the staff all did a terrific job in assisting and testing me..

I have total confidence in Dr. Paccione. He has been my Retinologist for several years. He explains and shows me what is going on in my eyes before he has to treat me. He also gives me choices when possible.

Dr. Paccione is the best! Always pleasant, thorough, patient and professional.

Queens Center Mall- The price for a pair of eyeglasses and frame is very expensive! I got my daughter a pair with anti-glare and Champions frame for $600+. Because I have an insurance and a $275 credit for teacher’s benefit, I paid $300+. The woman who assisted us was very sarcastic and made insulting comments. If not only for my daughter who had waited for a long time, I wouldn’t take their offer. Pros. The dr, and the lady who checked my child’s eyes were very sweet and the guys were nice.

Edgardo was just amazing. He took his time, explained each detail. Edgardo is an excellent asset to Cohen"s. Thank you for having him there and making my first experience in wearing glasses an extraordinary one. Cant wait to get my new glasses. The price was exactly what I was looking for with all the features that I wanted.

came here last year, and they refused to give me my medical records until I paid for my very expensive glasses. I have been trying to call this number to get my lens prescription again and they never pick up their phone. Please do not shop here. Get a place recommended by your insurance. They also refuse to show you the glasses that your insurance will pay for. however, the doctor that did my eye exam was amazing and informative

The reason I am giving one star is because of the optical lady who don’t know how to deal with the customer. I could have given zero star if I could. When I ordered my glasses, frame and lenses, the lady did not ask me anything about my insurance and I was made to pay $637. Later when I came to know from my friends that my insurance will cover the frame and glasses. After that I called Malik Eye Care and they told me that the optical or eyewear department is different and I should talk to them. So, I called the optical lady and she told me that they don’t accept my insurance which they never mentioned or told me anything about it at that time which made me think that my insurance is accepted as Malik Eye Care did accept my insurance. They told me that there is nothing they could do now as the payment is final and nonrefundable. After few days the lady who attended me called me for pickup. Then I questioned her regarding this matter and she kept on lying that she mentioned about the insurance and that I have to pay from my pocket which she never said. She also did not mention anything about the 20% discount which I came to know from somebody else who works in the optical department and I lost that too. This doesn’t finish here. Even at the time of pickup she didn’t give or asked me anything about my prescription. Later, I had to go back again. When I asked her about my prescription she said, “do you need the prescription”? OF COURSE, I need it. Overall, my experience with Malik Eye Care Optical was worst. I suggest whoever go there, be very careful with the optical department. I cancelled my next appointment just because of the lady in the optical section who has zero customer service.

Never saw the doctor. After an hour being at the office, the front desk informed me they didn’t take my insurance which someone two days before told me they did accept it. I told her why they didn’t check my insurance prior to going which seems to be protocol with other offices and she said “I don’t know, it wasn’t me who gave you the appointment or said we accept it”. I could have avoided spending money on transportation there and back if someone had bothered to check.

Dr Holtzberg is excellent doctor, explain very well, make all the required testing. Front desk is very friendly and professional. Highly recommend this place. Thank you guys
