Dr. Wu is arrogant, incapable and condescending. About two years ago, he did iridotomy on both of my eyes, saying that the procedure was necessary to prevent glaucoma. He did not explain the side effects of it. After he did it on one of my eyes, I told him that I saw two fluorescent white lines in my vision, and expressed my concern whether I should go ahead with the procedure on the other eye. He was rude and said impatiently that the white lines will go away in several months. So he also did it on my other eye, and again I saw the same white shiny lines in my vision. I still trusted him though, believing that they will go away. But now, more than two years after the procedure, I still see the two white lines in the vision of my both eyes, which bother me a lot. On top of it, my right eye is even worse. He doesn't care about his patients, only his money. If he would do any procedure on you, please be careful, and seek a second opinion.

Dr. Wu saved my life. When I went to his office, I thought I was in for a regular eye exam.At first, Dr. Wu felt that I might have a glaucoma just like what my previous optometrist told me. However, he convinced something else might have happened to me.
So, he decided to send me off for a through eye exam in his office. After the exam, he was convinced that I had a brain tumor. So, he sent me off to a neurologist. It turned out I had a tumor the size of a golf ball and needed immediate operation. After the operation, the Neurosurgeon told me I was lucky to take a quick action to remove the tumor, otherwise, I would probably be blind by now.
Right now, three months later, I am completely 100% healed and my eye sights are restored. While other Optometrist couldn't diagnose me correctly, Dr. Wu was able to save my life. I owed this to him. Thank you, Dr. Wu. I recommend anyone to see him. :-)

Dr. Alex Wu and Dr. Wu has been my eye doctor ever since 2007, he and his son are warm, wonderful practitioners. I am surprised that there are negative reviews about them. I've has been there for decades now absolutely has no issues at all. They are a family practice----for families, and cater to your needs and best interest.

I had an exceptional experience at the eye clinic! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making me feel comfortable right away. The waiting area was clean and well-organized, and I didn't have to wait long before being called in for my appointment.
The eye doctor was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. They took the time to listen to my concerns and answered all my questions with patience and clarity. Their expertise was evident throughout the examination, and I felt confident that I was in good hands.
The clinic's equipment was state-of-the-art, and the eye tests were conducted efficiently and accurately. I am delighted with my overall experience at the eye clinic and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking exceptional eye care. The professionalism, expertise, and friendly atmosphere made all the difference. I'll definitely be returning for all my future eye care needs!

Over the past few years, I've gone back and forth about whether to post a review about my experience with Dr. Ky. I think its finally time.
About 5 years ago, I took my 1 year old son in for an exam because his eyes were crossed and required surgery. Dr. Ky was always cordial and took the time to answer our questions but his office definitely overbooked and we were often waiting 30-45 minutes beyond our appointed time before seing him.
We went ahead with the surgery and saw results right away. Over the following few weeks/months, we noted his eye began drifting slightly again. We had a half a dozen relatives who also noticed the reappearance of cross eye issues.
During our followups, we mentioned the drift reoccuring to Dr. Ky several times and he stated that he didnt see anything unusual. He was confused that we saw a drift. We were uncertain but accepted his diagnois because he was the doctor.
The final straw was when we took him to his pediatrician and he asked when James was having his surgery. We told his pediatrican that James already had his surgery which surprised him because he noted significant drifting/cross issues.
Our pediatrican recommended a pedatric opthamolgist and we recieved a second opinion that he would require another surgery.
Before our first surgery, we were made aware that there was a reasonable possibility that kids often require a second surgery so we were mentally prepared for this outcome.
What was unacceptable was for Dr. Ky to tell us the surgery went well and there was no drifting even though everyone else noticed it. The only reason I could think of is that him acknowledging the drift meant he would have to do another surgery which would cost him money? I'm not exactly sure but it was not the rigth thing for our child's long term health.
Obviously, we've never gone back to him for any of our vision services since this incident.
Edit: Your responses all skirt around the key issue here. Yes, we were aware that second surgeries are common. Yes, we do not want to move forward with unneccessary surgeries due to potential complications.
"Third, young Asian children have wide nasal bridges that give the illusion of ocular misalignments. Therefore, it is often extremely difficult for parents and pediatricians to correctly identify the presence and even more difficult to quantify the degree of misalignment"
What you could have told us is that you see the misaligment we're seeing is only an illusion and we are best served waiting 6-12 months before exploring a second surgery.
Instead, you stated the surgery was successful and there was no issues whatsoever. Dozens of people saw his misaligment but they are not experts which makes it easy for you to dismiss what they think they're seeing. Our consultation with a second pediatric ophtalmologist disagreeded with your finding.
The bottom line is his first surgery briefly fixed his alignment, his eyes began to drift months after surgery, and his second surgeon successfully resolved the misaligment and there are no issues for the past 4-5 years, knock on wood.

Phenomenal attention and service all around and excellent selection of frames. Jenny was so helpful with hearing what I was looking for, sharing her recommendations and helping my friend and I stay in our budget. I've been going to another optical for 8 years but the selection here was so modern and varied here that I couldn't go back. I am finicky with my prescription but optometrist was patient during my eye exam and when explaining my selection. The layout is new and clean with many mirrors and sources light to try out the frames in.

For decades I went to Dr. Kaufmann for a rare eye disease, and then when my daughter was diagnosed with the same condition, she too went to Dr. Kaufmann. Dr. Kaufmann was very knowledgeable about diseases of the eye besides routine eye care. While Dr. Kaufmann was very professional, she was also very kind and personable. I still give her name and number to people when they ask for a good eye doctor in our vicinity. Thank you Dr. Kaufmann for saving and preserving my, and my daughter's eyesights.

She has been consistently rude in every visit (6-7) I have been to. It is so unfortunate that doctors could become so egotistical, short-tempered, and out of touch with the society. I genuinely do not think if all the 5 stars reviews are real and unbiased.
Every Review metters. See what people say about clinics.
