Dr. Coates is awesome! She is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. She diagnosed my retina detachment 7 years ago and I have been a patient of hers since. I have recommended her to friends and they have been very happy.

If I could give zero stars I would. The staff are plain nasty and rude to the patients. The doctor doesn't seem to care when this is brought to his attention either. He also is adamant about buying frames from his practice and not wanting to let patients use their prescriptions elsewhere. I happen to have been in the medical field for over 20 years and have never seen a worse practice than this one. I was with a family member and felt horrible for them and the utter lack of respect they received! I would not recommend this doctor or his office nor would I lie to anyone who asked me about the experience.

The doctor and staff are phenomenal! My husband and I had a great experience and were definitely taken care of, especially in the process of picking out our new frames and lenses. Shay was especially helpful and gracious through our indecisiveness, and by helping us with gathering the correct documentation to submit to our FSA! Thank you Land O Lakes optical for just being awesome!

Great Dr.! I have lived in the area for 4 years and could not find a quality optometrist that didn't try to sell me unnecessary procedures. Dr. Santos was extremely thorough during my eye exam and he took the time to explain everything to me, and offered recommendations for at home eye care instead of pushing products/services. The front office was also very welcoming and helpful (they even had a welcome sign out front for the new patients with appointments that day). I highly recommend this place if you are looking for great, comprehensive service, and compassion from a Dr. who truly cares about their patients.

I have been seeing Dr. Huggett for a very long time (over 10 years?). I was referred to him after seeing a specialist in Arizona. Both he and Connie are fantastic. They are more than helpful. They are kind and patient, and work to help in whatever way they can.

I suffered an occipital stroke on August 14th 2022 - My name is Peter and I am in very good physical condition and exercise almost daily. During an outdoor sporting event I suffered this stroke. I lost a good portion of my peripheral vision from my right eye when I was diagnosed the next day by a regular optometrist. I was told by this person that I had little to no hope, of ever seeing clearly, out of my right eye again. I was very disappointed with their assessment, and so I made appointments with 3 other different optometrists, over the next 45 days, and each and every one of them tested me, and said I would basically just have to get used to seeing at 105 degrees peripheral vision for the rest of my life. I finally stumbled onto Dr Huggett's Low Vision Solutions and made an appointment to see him as a last resort. When I saw them, I wanted to know, without any B.S., was there any hope for my condition. I am happy to say that he told me that they could help. That was in, mid-October. they told me that with vision therapy and prism inserts on my glasses, that I could get to the point where I would be able to retrain my brain to see what my eyes were looking at. It's been a hard struggle to do the therapy daily, but with the help of my wife and my eye therapist Laura, I am now at 150 degrees of peripheral vision, after 3 months of hard daily work. I am so happy that I didn't take no for an answer, and that I found these folks at NuEyes low vision solutions. They can absolutely help when all others throw roadblocks in your way. These people are GREAT.

Dr Hugget does NOT prescribe the super thick lenses. I was conned out of $200 for an office visit. I went there with those super thick glasses on my head and he said he could help me, so we ordered glasses. He knew I needed the thick ones, yet tried to prescribe something else. I went back twice to be dissappinted both times. I also got squirted all over my face from sanitizer from the desk that had not had the nozzel cleaned in a while. If you need low vision prismatic glasses, do not go here.

I have never had more thorough and thoughtful eye care before than my last two visits with Dr. Merlino. In the past year I had a cataract that had developed from lens-correctable to needing surgery. Dr. Merlino guided me to one of the best cataract surgery facilities here locally and in the nation. But what I’m happiest about was the detailed and comprehensive follow up exam with him the following week. He gave me answers going forward and answered lots of questions I had post-op. Really one of the best,IMO! Thanks!

I saw Dr. Merlino for a second opinion on my prescription recheck after not being able to see correctly out of my new glasses. Visionworks had made my glasses correctly, so they recommend that I get a second opinion, and have my vision rechecked. Dr. Merlino was able to see me right away-even though it was nearly 5pm. He was very thorough, listened to all of my concerns, and was able to identify where the other doctors office had gone wrong. I received a new glasses, prescription, and vision Works started right away on making my glasses right. I am now switching to Dr. Merlino and will recommend him and vision works to anyone needing glasses or contacts!

Have been to Dr. Merlino twice and he is awesome. Very personable, patient and helpful. Was having issues with contact clarity, he made a prescription change and recommendation for different brand and my vision so much sharper and comfortable all day, yay! Thank you!
