Simply the best, I was at my wits end with my very dry eyes and just happened to drive by. So I went in and inquired about it. Not only did he take care of my dry eyes but also removed my cataracts. Life changing, no more glasses and dry eyes so much better. Thank you! Dr. Hertzog and staff.

At age 75, a growing cataract in my left eye had become intolerable. I went to the Hertzog Eye Care center in Long Beach and was examined by a very professional and efficient staff. I was further examined and consulted with Leif M. Hertzog, M.D. After discussing my condition he recommended the “Vivity extended Depth of Focus Lens.” The surgery was completed at “Surgery Center of Long Beach,” which is located across the street from Memorial Hospital on Atlantic Avenue in Long Beach. The staff at the Surgery Center was also very competent and professional. Doctor Leif Hertzog performed the surgery. I was awake the entire time and did not experience any pain or discomfort. During the surgery Dr. Herzog kept me advised of the progress. I am very pleased with the results. The Vivity lens is more than I had hoped for. I found Dr. Hertzog to be very straight forward and consise with his explanation of the concerns I was having about my eyes. I listened to the options that he told me about. I took his advice as what to do and I’m glad I did. I had him perform surgery and it was very successful. I can now see to drive at night. Along with Dr. Hertzogs pleasantness, his whole staff is very accommodating, friendly and helpful.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. They over book their clients and squeeze everyone into a small waiting room. Don't bother showing up on time because they have you wait literally two hours before they see you. I've come here twice and it's the exact same experience both times. The doctors miss pronounce every child's name so you have three confused parents getting up everytime they call a kid. Steer clear of this place.

Got a horrible experience upon making an appointment. The lady I dealt with made an appointment and got authorization through my insurance carrier without even confirming the convenient time. My child goes to school so I can only do afternoons, then tells me she can only give me 15 minutes leeway from the 3pm appointment that she has available which was when my child gets off school. She proceeded to make the appointment before I can even confirm it with her that we can make that appointment. She gave me no choice and made the appointment anyways. The lady then told me that I have to cancel the appointment with my Insurance. Customer service goes a long way- quite disappointed.

Dr. Jotterand has been treating my daughter for over 4 years now. Staff is always friendly and make my daughter feel comfortable.

Love them! They are so fast and experienced they are the best when my son broke his glasses more than once by accident. The selection of glasses are plentiful and fashionable never a disappointment.
