I Had eye surgery on 10/24/23 and Dr Kristen Carter and her staff were amazing! They made me feel very comfortable, safe, and very confident that I was in trusting and caring hands. The office of Dr. Kristen Carter is well managed by reputable, knowledgeable, caring and smiling staff as is her surgery office and her assistance’s there.
Every time that I had to come to the Swan office for my follow up appointments, the staff here greeted you with a smile and were very professional and caring.
If anyone should ever need eye care or surgery this is the place to come for you truly are in the best of hands.

I give Dr Carter and her staff an unequivocal 5 Stars, having recently completed cataract surgery in both eyes. The entire experience with both office visits, and surgeries was totally stress free. Dr Carter explained everything clearly in advance and answered all my questions. She is very easy going, friendly, and instills confidence. This is coming from someone usually very critical of medical doctors. Great results, great job, Dr Carter and staff. Thank you.

My experiences with Dr. Carter and her staff were all excellent. As a businesswoman, I appreciate how efficient everything works in this organization.
One on the many things that impressed me was how when one needs to phone the office and nobody answers (either closed for lunch or for the day, etc.), you do not have to put up with an electronic voice or worse. Dr. Carter herself has recorded the messages you hear, making you feel important as a patient. Such a small thing, yet so very nice. If only more firms would do this! Also, while you're waiting for a doctor or aide to come into the room you've been assigned, learning videos play on a screen, which is really very helpful, and makes the wait time fly by. In fact, there's lots of computerization with this office, and I appreciate the efficiency. Appointment reminders came to my e-mailbox regularly; a big help for remembering. Patients can also go online to read visit summaries, etc.
I just finished my second cataract surgery, and both eyes are functioning very well, with 20/20 vision in each. I asked a whole lot of questions, and I just know that most of them are asked many times each day. Nonetheless, I never felt rushed or like my question wasn't important. It was the same whether Dr. Carter herself (and I know she's very busy!) or one of her super staff was asked the question. I'm pretty sure I also asked some of the same questions multiple times myself (I was very nervous!), and everyone showed much patience and kindness.
Every little detail was explained to me so that by the time I went into surgery, I felt confident that I would be getting the very best. I understand that not everyone has the outcome hoped for, but by the time I went in, I was ready to accept whatever it was; I felt prepared! The Anesthesiologist was everything I could hope for; she made me feel so comfortable. The reception folks and the nursing staff at the surgery center were all outstanding as well.

I've been a patient of Dr. Lane for a number of years. I've always found her knowledge and willingness to help goes above and beyond other ophthalmologists I've seen in the past. I would highly recommend her to anyone for yearly checkups or emergency services.

There's a wait almost always. There are signs posted that appointments can take up to two hours. But Dr. Lane is worth it, so that's why I don't change offices/doctors.

I highly recommend Dr. Lane. She took excellent care of me. Her staff were outstanding. I had a procedure in her office that went very smoothly. I will definitely be seeing her for all of my eye care in the future

Had great exams before but this last time Dr Lewis seemed to not tell us correct information. My spouse and I both had appointments the same day both of us told we have glaucoma, my spouse’s worse than mine but I was given all the tips and tricks. We both thought it odd so I called another office that specializes in glaucoma patients. We both had extensive exams there and were told that neither of us have glaucoma and our eyes are completely normal. We had a gut feeling that Dr. Lewis wasn’t telling us the correct information and I am glad that I followed up with another ophthalmologist who confirmed our gut feelings were correct. I am just hopeful he is not advising other patients of incorrect diagnosis or issues. We will go to a new office next year for eye exams for sure.

I have been seeing Dr. Lewis since I moved to Tucson and he was still part of Mulgrew & Associates. My spouse, kids, and mother go there based on my referral. I have referred many others as well. I am disappointed I will need to find a new eye doctor.
My mother called to make an appointment. She probably made a mistake and called Lens Crafters but was told she could just walk in. When she arrived for a walk-in, she was told it would be an hour and half wait. They did not see her for 6 hours and said that she could not leave and come back if she wanted to keep her place in line. She is elderly, blind and cannot drive. She is dependent on others to get to and from her appointments. An honest answer up front would have been preferred so that she could have arranged to come back or scheduled an appointment for another day. Dr. Lewis' office obviously has little regard for their patients or their caretakers.

What a wonderful, eye doctor. Having worn glasses for well over 30 years, I have been to both good and bad places. This Lenscrafters was just wonderful. Everything was thoroughly explained, Everything was thoroughly cleansed and sanitary. Once I got in to see the doctor I wasnt rushed he went over each aspect of the exam and my glasses/contacts history. Then once it came to purchasing the glasses, that was a pleasant and informative experience as well. Absolutely outstanding service and care.

The technician (or optician?) was super friendly and personable, but the optometrist seemed less enthusiastic. He rushed through the exam without ever dilating my pupils, dismissed my concerns, and then sent me home with an inaccurate prescription for glasses. I had to pay an additional $110 to get a real eye exam elsewhere. Definitely not happy to have wasted my time and money at Alvernon Optical.
