Because they care about your eyesight

My experience with Alabama Retina was Remarkable. I was scared and had Anxiety Attacks but Dr Hsia was really good in calming my fears. My surgery was successful and now I can see again. Thanks again Dr Hsia. Keep up the good work!!! His wife is very nice too.

I love Dr Hsia and his staff. Very professional yet warm and friendly at the same time. He repaired my detached retina and I am very pleased with the results. He did not rush me and he took the time to answer all of my questions during my appointments. He is conveniently located near Baptist East Hospital. My waiting room time has always been short which is always a plus!

I took my dad who is legally blind to see Dr. Hsia because he was having pain in his left eye earlier this week….. Now we are fully aware of his poor vision but we wanted to see if it was possible to determine where the pain was coming from and also if there was a better medicine than Systane eyedrops which help a little. First of all it took them an hour to call us back and another hour to see the doctor. We were on time for our appointment and we still sat there watching many other people that walked in the door after us get called back. We finally got called back and the young lady performing the pre exam work up was very professional. She did her job and when Dr. Hsia finally came in he spoke and asked a few health questions and began his exam. He wasn’t very friendly and he rushed through the exam. He appeared overwhelmed which is sad seeing that we drove 2.5 hours for this appointment based on great reviews and his expertise. Maybe as he ages he’ll show more empathy and concern for his patients. I work in healthcare and a medical professional that cares makes a difference.

Mike, at Owens Optical, has been taking very good care of me for going on 15 years now. He's always going above and beyond to ensure I have what I need to see my way clearly. If you need an emergency fix, he is on it in a blink. He doesn't price gouge anyone... period! He's always reasonable, and when he knows you're a repeat customer. He makes sure you have what you need at a price you can afford. He's saved me in many a pinch and sometimes has no idea I'm about to run in and out him on the spot to save the day. What I do know... He's sincere, he's honest, and he's always willing to do whatever he can to help you. He's earned my trust and my business. My glasses were constantly falling off so I went in to see if they could bend the frame for me. The gentlemen fixed them right up in just a few minutes and sent me on my way free of charge!

I needed a quick repair to the nosepiece on my glasses, and they took care of me quickly with no fuss at all. Super-nice and friendly. I really appreciate the quick help. Thanks for being a great independent business in our neighborhood!
