Dr. Dixon was wonderful. He was professional and pleasant. He explained the exam and results thoroughly and helped me feel at ease. I was seen right away at my scheduled appointment time, with no wait. I will definitely return to Dr. Dixon!

The Walmart Vision Center was a new in-network provider for materials with my new vision insurance. I decided to give them a try, and they did not disappoint! It was a hurdle to get the most of my benefits I pay for through insurance though, all however were NOT a Vision Center issue. I called the insurance and confirmed my benefits before arriving at the store. The manager, Kris, called to verify eligibility and benefits and was told something different than I was previously told. I brought a print out of my vision benefits with me and he understood and wanted to make sure I was getting my benefits used correctly. Another employee, Kyle, took my many phone calls and always was so respectful and patient. He tried to contact my insurance company too, and couldn’t even speak to a representative. Needless to say, this new insurance is a PAIN, but the Vision Center was so great to work with. I went there on a Wednesday, then Thursday, and by Saturday, things were figured out. Not without the help and patience of Kris, Kyle, and Ericka. Kyle was the one I settled up with and he was informative, professional, and knowledgeable. Do not hesitate to try Independence, Kansas Walmart Vision Center!!

I've been trying to get a appointment all summer for my daughter, finally got through and got a appointment before school starts! Great! Only they called 2 days before the appointment to cancel and now I have to start all over and the next place can't get us in until September! My daughter is walking around half blind. Walmart vision center is a joke.

I don't often write comments but I felt I needed this said. The employees at the Independence Optical Center are exceptional people! O.T. goes above and beyond!! I can't say enough good things about Dr. Crowley! She provided me with the most comprehensive examination I've had in the last 35 years! Her communication skill's are outstanding! She let's you know what she's doing and why she's doing it. She include's the client in the whole process which let me know she respected my input. Her follow up is quite exceptional!! My wife and I made a appointment and everything went smooth. They were very busy and was able to handle every one with no problem. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The doctor was problem the BEST eye doctor I have ever been to. She explained everything very clear and in words I could understand. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

Absolutely pathetic! The ?doctor? told me my granddaughter needed to be referred to Children’s Mercy for a brain scan following her eye exam. We chose instead to have her seen by an eye specialist in Columbia who reported the tests performed by the ?doctor? at Sam’s Club were outdated and some should not have been done 3 times during the same visit.

What a great Eye doctor! Smart and very informative. Very pleasant to talk with and just a very interesting person. Dr. Elizabeth Crowley is currently at the Sam's Club optical in Independence Mo. on Bolger Rd. Also, their prices are very good.
