Dr. Levinson and his office went above and beyond when I needed assistance. They fit me in same day as a new patient, always respond quickly and have called me to check in and make sure everything is alright. I couldn’t be more thankful for all their help and for caring about their patients. Highly recommend!

Dr. Levinson is the best Opthomologist there is. I’ve been to countless opthomologists before, some good some bad, and he is without a doubt the best. I was losing my vision and he is the only doctor who properly diagnosed and corrected my problems. His confidence in his own ability provided me with ease and comfort. Not only is he knowledgeable, but he is also extremely easy to get a hold of. His staff is equally as great. My only regret is that I did not come to him sooner.

In my experience, he has NO social skills or bedside manner. If you want to hear a rambling and incoherent, answer referencing spaceships landing on the Whitehouse lawn in regards to your serious eye condition he IS your guy. If you want an articulate, intelligent and serious answer he IS NOT the Dr. for you. Essentially getting him to answer a question is like pulling teeth. It is painful. If your condition requires emergencies he will make you feel bad and constantly remind you of it. His wife is also abrasive, abrupt and rude. I WOULD NOT recommend any patient with half a brain use him.

I have a hard time getting my astigmatism corrected properly. Dr. Strier and her staff work with me to get my glasses feeling comfortable and properly adjusted. Staff is great.

I went for a regular eye exam. I was really impressed with the experience. I enjoyed every person I spoke with and who performed all the extensive eye care. I had eye surgery there over 30 years ago and I would highly recommend them. It was RK back in the day when that was popular and they performed the surgery. I trust them with my eyes. Great experience

This place is nothing short of amazing! I have never felt more welcome and understood, in a medical facility more than I have here at this optical location. customer service feels like your family is serving you. recommend any of those who are looking for a small office with great customer service to go here and they have some very stylish glasses that I was peeping at when I was there. I definitely see myself going back just to purchase me a pair glasses so they work with you, they work with state insurance as a plus. What more can you say go to these folks give them a try I loved it.

I've been going to Affordable Optics to buy my glasses for a number of years now. Renee has always been friendly and helpful and welcoming when I'm there, and Dr. Leonard has been wonderfully patient and exacting in examining my eyes. I've always felt fortunate to have them as the professionals attending to my eyes. Thanks to you both.

Hands down the best in town, Ms Renee and her team are awesome ive been coming to her since i was child and for good reason. They always make sure you get what your looking for, always kind and have have a great selection people ask me about my glasses all the time and i give them the info this is the go to spot. So thankful for the affordable optics team

I am one to complain although I don’t speak up or voice my displeasure. I’ve been going to University of Maryland for practically everything, my endocrinologist encourages me to see Ophthalmologist, instead of going to Vision works, Lens crafters or Americans best, places like them. Since I’ve had diabetes for 35 years, I had moved to Maryland July 2019. So seeing an Ophthalmologist. I scheduled my appointment 2:30pm taking time off work, I showed up to my appointment A little before 2pm, I checked in and wait in the waiting room by 2:55 pm, A nurse took me back weighed me check my blood pressure I did a simple eye check (cover one eye & read, cover next eye & read) nurse also handed me a University of MD be involved with your care, some kind of card to acknowledge if the nurse, resident or doctor washed or sanitized their hands. When she was done I returned to the waiting room. I over heard another patient about the facility hours, so checked on my phone UM Friedenwald Eye closes at 4:30pm. It was A few minutes before 4:pm when I asked the receptionist if I was going to be seen. Suddenly A young medical Dr. took me back to the room asked why I was here, well everyone says I should see an optometrist for my yearly exam see if my vision has gotten worse. He proceeded to do some exams with the focus on the red barn, put drops in my eyes and use the light and then he proceeded to put more drops to dilate my eyes. Note he was leaving and coming back to the room because it didn’t seem like the room had everything, I questioned shouldn’t I be having an eye exam for my vision to read and question the lenses. From my previous experiences they would do that first before dilating my eyes. He proceeded to put the device in front of my face turn the lights off and ask if I could read, I couldn’t read anything I couldn’t see anything everything was blurry my anxiety was eating me up inside. I was literally puzzled, he said my eyeglasses after a while we’re perfectly fine I can wear them for another year and another doctor came in the room and asked why I’m here. It’s a yearly vision exam. I overheard him talking to the other doctor the younger one that I didn’t have diabetic neuropathy who said I had diabetic neuropathy. And he said everything looks OK and to Schedule for next year, I should be seeing yearly. As the younger doctor was walking me out the receptionist had left for the day this was way after 4:30pm I got to the garage by 5:10pm cried in my car because I was too petrified to leave and drive because my eyes are still dilated and I didn’t pack sunglasses with me. This was a horrible experience, I have eye insurance, i have no way of getting eye glasses, I have no script to go anywhere to get eye glasses. How can I be the last patient & my appointment was at 2:30pm.
