My appointment was a solid 5+ star. I give the office 4 star for the difficulty in contacting and getting an appointment/call backs at the beginning of this process. Dr. Green is new to this practice but she is clearly a top expert in her field. She is kind and supportive with you when testing (especially when the testing is irritating and challenging for the patient). She had two assistants that did a lot of the testing and they were warm, hard working and very interested in doing a great job for the practice and patient. I was pleasantly surprised with the superior level of expertise from Dr. Green. She tested me as well and was laser focused, professional and I felt safe & supported throughout. I’ve had many years of vision challenges and she was able to discover things others have sadly missed/overlooked/didn’t bother testing for over the years. They were extremely thorough with my intake, I did not feel rushed and I felt like they were sincerely interested in me as a patient and discovering what was wrong to help heal me. Wow, right? Originally, it was very hard to make and get an appointment, but I’m so glad I persisted! What a positive and powerful experience. You would be extremely lucky to be in the hands of Dr. Green and her staff.

I've always received great care at NECO. The students are polite, respectful and really good. Of course the doctors are top notch and the facilities are modern and clean. Stack this on the incredible value and on time appointments and you just can't beat them.

The location is easy and convenient and works for my schedule. It can take a long time to schedule an appointment. Love my doctor and I believe in teaching environments, BUT the standard eye appointment here takes SO long. I have to consistently take a 1/2 day off work - which isn’t the worst thing, but sometimes difficult. I have 2-3 different folks doing similar exams and then I have to wait for the doctor to run through all the other patients there before making the way back to me. I would not change who I see or where I’m being seen. But it does feel like they try to cram too many patients into a time block!

I was treated by the entire staff as if I was a well liked neighbor. The two doctors that examined me were extremely thorough explaining everything and answering all of my questions. I will definitely return to Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston for my eye care.

Dr McHam did my cataracts. She and her assistants did a wonderful job and accommodated any problems with scheduling. I was very happy with the level of efficiency and service for such a busy office! Her scheduler Theresa is a gem!

I get the best eye care here. The place is conveniently located and modern (easy to make appointments, get reminders etc) and the doctor is so great to work with. He diluted my eyes only enough to test them, not as much as other doctors do which make it so I can't see all afternoon. And he was really engaged and interested in making sure I have the right contacts. Would highly recommend.

I absolutely adore going to this place! From the moment I step through the entrance, every single person, from the receptionist to the doctor, exudes professionalism, knowledge, and above all, genuine care for people. During my examination, I was thrilled to be surrounded by state-of-the-art technology and cutting-edge equipment. When it came time to select my glasses and frame, the staff took the time to explain every little detail to me. This is actually my second visit, and I can confidently say that I wholeheartedly recommend this place 100%!

I’ve been using glasses for the large majority of my life and have been to countless optometrists, so believe me when I say that Dr. Jost and his team are the best of the best! Check in was so smooth, they even had my insurance information ready to go before i walked in the door. The office is clean, modern, and spacious. The modern tech makes getting your eyes checked so easy and painless. As someone with a genetic eye condition I found that Dr. Jost was very knowledgeable and took his time to address my every concern. He made sure he was thorough in his exam and that I was comfortable every step of the way. Randi was amazing and helped me pick out the nicest looking frames I think i’ve ever owned. Overall I am so happy with the services I received here and would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Jost and his team to everyone. Exceptional care like this is rare to come by.

I've been going to Dr. LaMalva for the past few years and she always does fantastic work. I've got both contacts and glasses at her office, as well as having standard eye exams. I had never worn daily contacts before but she made sure I was comfortable with them, and I have really loved them since! She is always kind and explains what's going on with your eyes (e.g. why your prescription is changing). Her staff is always friendly and courteous. I always receive a warm welcome, and they did a really great job helping me pick out a pair of frames that I love!
