Andrew C. Bowman
Dr. Andrew C. Bowman, our Ophthalmologist, joined Cornea Associates of Texas in September 2023. Dr. Bowman is available to perform the most advanced techniques in transplantation including Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK, DSAEK) as well as conventional Lamellar Keratoplasty/Penetrating Keratoplasty. He has also received specialty training in refractive surgery (LASIK, PRK, and EVO ICL), complex cataract procedures, secondary lens placement, and the medical and surgical management of ocular surface diseases.
A graduate of Baylor University and The University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio, Dr. Bowman did a transitional internship with John Peter Smith hospital in Fort Worth before receiving his Ophthalmology training at the University of Florida Health in Gainesville where he was Chief Resident. He completed a Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery fellowship at Duke University Medical Center.
Dr. Bowman is the son of Dr. C. Bradley Bowman who joined Cornea Associates of Texas in 1994. Like his father, Dr. Bowman has a passion for serving others, especially in Christian Ministry. He has served on multiple medical mission trips, including a trip to Honduras with Health in Sight and to Kenya with the Light House for Christ, where is family has served for years.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Kate and their young son Padgitt.
