Bahareh Golbahar
Dr. Bahareh Golbahar was raised in Southern California. She completed her undergraduate education at UCLA, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She went on to graduate with high honors from the Southern California College of Optometry where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry in 2002. Dr. Golbahar then completed an extra year of postgraduate (fellowship) training at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA with an emphasis on Low Vision.
Dr. Golbahar is married and is a proud mom to two children. Her hobbies include reading, baking, and yoga. She is fluent in Farsi and Spanish.
Dr. Golbahar joined Village Eyes Optometry in 2004. Her practice focuses primarily on providing routine, comprehensive vision exams to ensure the eyes are healthy as well as providing prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses. Dr. Golbahar also treats eye infections, eye allergies, and dry eye issues. She has a specialty in working with and providing magnification devices for patients with visual impairments. Her time is also spent on co-managing lasik and cataract surgeries with ophthalmologists. Finally, Dr. Golbahar has a special interest in preventing the advancement of myopia in children and young adults.
