Dr. Alexander joined Cornea Associates of Texas in 2016  and has gained a national reputation as a highly skilled surgeon and a caring physician who provides her patients with the highest quality eye care. Dr. Alexander was recognized as Best in Collin County by D Magazine in April 2023. She most recently has been honored by Newsweek Magazine  as one of the "200 Best Ophthalmologists in the United States". This is Dr. Alexander's third consecutive year to be recognized by Newsweek Magazine.  She is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is available by appointment at our Dallas and Plano locations.

Dr. Alexander grew up in a military family, primarily in Corpus Christi, Texas.  She attended the University of Southern California, graduating summa cum laude with a degree in Biological Sciences.  She then earned her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.  Subsequently, Dr. Alexander received her ophthalmology training from the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA.  She completed her fellowship training in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Institute at the University of Colorado Denver. She specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of the cornea and anterior segment, including LASIK, cataract surgery, cornea transplants, DSEK, DMEK, and other anterior segment procedures. 

In her free time, Dr. Alexander enjoys camping, hiking, listening to live music, traveling, and spending time with her husband and their young son. In the office, Dr. Alexander likes to focus on building relationships with her patients and educating them on their eye disease so they can make collaborative decisions on treatment together.
