Dr. Potts grew up in the Dallas area, then moved to East Texas just prior to entering high school.  He attended the University of Texas at Tyler, earning his undergraduate degree in Chemistry.  He attended Texas A&M University College of Medicine for his medical degree as well as earning his PHD in microvascular physiology.  His ophthalmology training was completed at the Scott and White Eye Institute in central Texas, with subspecialty training at Devers Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon. 

He specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of the cornea and anterior segment including corneal transplantation, cataract surgery, LASIK and other procedures for treatment of corneal and ocular surface disease. Dr. Potts is a member of several professional medical organizations including the Cornea Society, the Eye Bank Association of America, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, among others.  He is available by appointment in the Dallas and Plano locations. 

In his free time, Dr. Potts enjoys spending time with his wife and children and playing piano.
