Dr. Fisher has developed numerous intraocular surgical instruments which have advanced the field of vitreoretinal surgery. These instruments include electromagnets as well as endoscopic techniques for situations where microscopic visualization is limited or impossible.

He recently launched a novel and extensive instructional website for educational purposes. The site, www.ophthalmicedge.org, contains lectures, animations, and an extensive interactive video library of real-time contact B-scan ultra sonograms.
