If I could give negative stars for the Lansdale office and this doctor I would. I’ve been in the medical field for over 20 years and never have I ever come across so many unreceptive, rude, self inflated folks who lack compassion all in the same room!!!! Spare yourself and your loved one and find somewhere else to go. I’d like to tell this physician a little compassion goes a LONG way and that the eye he’s caring for is attached to a human being. He ought to see the patient’s eye NOT just an Eyeball sitting there. I’d like to remind his staff that patients and their families always know them selves better than they do no matter their training and to LISTEN! A 90 yr old woman who has trouble hearing, is fearful of the injections but brave, just needs a loud voice, simple directions, and patience rather than just an eye roll assuming she must have dementia and won’t listen. Terrible terrible terrible experience!!!! Oh and one more thing, they should have eye lubricating gel drops there to treat the patients when they fail to numb them and cause them burning pain....instead I had to get to the closest pharmacy to alleviate pain in the car!!!! So very disheartening, spare yourself!

I moved to Iowa a few years ago and after going to Dr Katcher for over 25 years. I went to a new doctor and was told that I was in need of cataract surgery! I was surprised and kind of scared So, I call the best eye doctor I knew, Dr. Joel Katcher. He called me back personally and went over all my questions and advised me of my options even though I wasn’t his patient anymore. CNN I can’t thank him enough for making me feel comfortable and knowledgeable of this situation/surgery. So if you want the best, go see Joel Katcher because he is more than just a great eye doctor he cares about you. Thank you Joel you are amazing.

I’m grateful for Dr. Larsen for his expertise in treating my eyes. I have multiple autoimmune diseases that affect my eyes and medications that affect my eyes. He’s very knowledgeable. He’s been managing my eyes and communicating with my doctors as needed. I’ve been a patient of Advanced Eye Care and Dr. Larsen for 16 years. Highly recommend.

I was there yesterday to pick up a friend after his eye surgery. They allowed me to visit him at the post op recovery room. I was shocked to see a female nurse wearing a leggings as part of her uniform. There she was walking around showing her Camel Toe. This is not the attire of a professional more so of a noble nurse. And why they’re allowing this hideous outfit in a medical profession. I called their attention about this and hope something can be done.

First thing The front desk was unfriendly and they were eating while they were checking me in. The lady in the front desk was not very nice about me not realizing that my insurance was not in network. I wasn’t worry about paying out of pocket but it seemed like she was trying to let me know that it was my fault. I told her that I wasn’t worry about paying but I had filled out paperwork the day before and maybe we could have figured that out before but then she proceeded to look to see what time I filled out the online form, once she did she told me that they don’t check it multiple times a day which I don’t even know what that means. I have been going there for years and this is the first time I’ve been treated like this. The optometrist was the great and very helpful but I really think that the front desk shouldn’t be so unfriendly.

Jay is simply the best. He is caring and patient when working with you to find the perfect fit and look. He does not try to oversell services but rather just helps with what your needs are. He comes highly recommended and I concur entirely. I also like to support small business owners over the “chains”. And in this case, it is a truly exceptional experience. Give him a try!!! You won’t be disappointed.

Dr Schaffer is the best! So knowledgeable friendly and really cares. Always goes above and beyond!! So grateful to have found her last year!

I have never felt more welcomed at an establishment like this! They were quick and efficient and made me feel so comfortable at a new place! I’m a younger college student so finding a new eye doc made me insanely nervous but they were so worth it. Even staff that didn’t directly help me still made conversation and felt so happy to be at work!
