Last step/ 13/ 23 I received a text from laser eye center saying we confirmed your FREE consultation for 9/16/23 at 10 am, so I went and at that day the receptionist asked me what kind of surgery I was going to do, I was like, I don't know yet that is the reason I am here to know what is wrong with my vision, then She said ok is going to be $195. I said you guys told me that was a FREE consultation. She goes in that way you have to tell me what kind of surgery you will have 🤬. I'm not even a doctor to know or specialist,then I called laser eye center headquarters and NOW they said NO there is no free consultation. This is just a SCAM to get you there, I checked others reviews and I am so glad they did nothing to my vision

Nice sales pitch at the free consultation. That's where the niceties end. Regardless of what they tell you, your insurance doesn't cover what they're selling. This is a "Cash Only" business. They are truly misleading.

Dr. Nguyen was fantastic, explaining each test and the reasoning behind each one. The techs in the office were very nice and helpful. But the automated visit notification texts and emails even after I confirmed my appointment were annoying. I’ll opt out of those in the future.

I have been going to Encino Optometric Center for over 10 years. Dr Phoo is the best there is. He takes his time to perform a thorough barrage of tests. But before that, his assistants also perform perfunctory tests. As I age, I worry about deterioration in eyesight. Since I’ve been going to Dr Phoo, he has years of data on my eyes and sees trends that alert him for further tests and diagnosis. He has my utmost confidence. I am free to tell him anything and everything about my eyes. For example, I just finished my annual exam. I told him about a pasty film feeling I have in my right eye. Because he has history for me, he said that it’s a build up of cataracts but nothing to worry about. He will monitor it and let me know when I actually need to do something about it. His office has the latest diagnostic equipment. The coolest one he has is the one that takes pictures of your eye using different angles. He can tell from the size of the veins and spots in the pictures if you have good heart health m, high BP, diabetes, etc. The eyes are really the window to your well-being. I certainly can recommend Dr Phoo. Lastly, his office staff is the most courteous and accommodating medical staff I’ve ever dealt with - Giovanni, Caitlyn and Elba. They afford me time and information. They went above and beyond to schedule my wife’s exam also. 5 Diamond rating and 3 Michelin stars for Encino Optometric Center in Encino. Thanks to all of you at the office.

My dad and I both went in for appointments and were seen by 2 different doctors, and we each had great experiences. The staff team in the office is very helpful and professional, and each interaction we had was delightful across the board.

I have been coming here for a couple of years now for my daughter's eye exam. The staff here is very friendly. I always enjoy my visit with Dr. Arutyunyan. He is very good at explaining the optic issues in a way I can understand and is good with children. He also recommends things we can do at home to help with optic issues. I would highly recommend this office!

Excellently ran office!! Friendly and wonderful staff, I’ve honestly never been to a nicer office! Dr. was extremely knowledgeable and super nice. 10/10! Optometric center of Encino really set the bar! Keep up the great work!

I have been a patient for years and even after moving out of the area I have and will continue to come because of the detailed care I always receive. Dr Lucas is one of the most talented and educated in his field and has a wonderful team that is a pleasure to work with!

Dr. Bruce Lucas is one of the best optometrist I have ever been to. He is thorough with state of the art equipment. He also is very kind and gentle His staff is warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend him to my family and friends.
