After a routine visit to the optometrist for a new glasses prescription, at which time I had complained about everything looking cloudy or smoke filled, I was informed that I had cataracts. I had read Dr Rom's posts in The News Herald so I decided to check him out. I had cataract and astigmatism correction surgery on my right eye in February and the same to the left eye in March of 2014. Dr Rom was outstanding before during and after the procedure. He explained every step as he worked on the right eye and made sure that I was relaxed and comfortable with what he was doing. Everyone at both the Mentor and Chardon offices and the staff that I had contact with at the Surgical Care center were all very pleasant and professional. I am very pleased with the results as now, after 35 years of wearing corrective lenses to be able to see, I have 20/20 vision and have a clarity that I never thought that I would have again. Anyone that is considering eye surgery should consider having Dr Rom do the work as he is a truly gifted surgeon with an excellent bedside manor and a quality team around him. A very special thanks to Mattie for explaining all of the pricing and preoperative and post operative procedures.

Dr. Rom did a thorough exam of my eyes and as I had suspected, I was overdue to have cataract surgery. I then met with Elizabeth who explained all my options and ultimately decided to have monovision, one eye corrected for distance and one for reading. Best decision ever! I can see perfectly for distance, and I can still read my books comfortably. The surgery was so efficient! I was amazed at how quickly and painlessly Dr. Rom completed both eyes, one on Wednesday and the other the following Monday! He cares about his patients and checks everything the day after surgery. I would recommend Dr. Rom and his remarkable staff without hesitation.

I called to schedule my first appointment and I was able to come into the office within a couple weeks. It may have been faster, but I have a typical 8-5 work schedule, and I didn't want to take time off work. I was 30 minutes early for my appointment because I planned on first-patient paperwork and to look at frames, and the doctor saw me almost immediately. The office is clean and all of the employees were very friendly. The waiting area of the office is a little on the small side (compared to other vision centers I've been to), so there wasn't an overabundance of frame selections, but the frames they do carry in the office are nice. The doctor was incredibly thorough, friendly, and took the time to explain clearly and in detail the condition of my eyes and my prescription. I made the appointment only to confirm my eye health and prescription, but after one of the office staff members explained how my insurance worked with a particular selection of frames they carry, I ended up purchasing a pair of glasses.
I'd highly recommend this office to anyone in search of a new doctor.

Dr. Bozic is a very nice and caring eye doctor... I have been a patient for many years along with my whole family. I was on the fence about getting bifocals and he made my decision easy and I'm so glad I did. I especially loved that they have their own eyeglasses selection to choose from within the office. I would recommend Dr. Bozic if you need an eye doctor in the area.

I've been with Great Lakes Eyecare, and a patient of Dr. Bozic's, for over 20+ years. In addition, my son is a patient as well.
Unfortunately, they are now booking out 2+ months for an appointment. My contact prescription expired and now I can't get contacts anywhere else without a prescription. They left me in a terrible situation. I'm basically forced to find another provider last minute. It would have been nice if they would have provided appointment information two months ago. Alternatively, they could have extended my prescription for two months until my appointment. Very disappointed! I guess if they're that busy, losing two patients won't make a difference.

I have been a grateful patient of Pamela kaw Md for nearly 15 years.
The entire staff are 5 Star.
4 years ago during a routine check up, Dr Kaw saw something in my eye that gave her lpause, then concern. I will forever remember her words….”I am sending you to the best!” 2 weeks later I was in Manhattan’s New York Eye Cancer Center. After many tests, Dr Finger confirmed the Melanoma on my eye. He said that he was amazed that Dr Kaw spotted it at such an early stage. Thank you Dr Kaw.

Took my father-in-law to see Dr. Crowe. He has macular degeneration and she was able to help him see a little better. Love this office!

As life goes on, one collects individuals and services that become a gold standard for your expantancies . Vincent's Opticians is one of those treasures. I have been going to this optical store for decades. I would never go anywhere else .Perhaps it's the fact that it's a family owned business that makes this store an establishment operated in the way you would expect and an eyeglass store to be run.
