I usually don’t write bad reviews, however with this medical office I need to make an exception. This review is in regards to front desk/office staff…. I have never been treated in a medical office like this before. On multiple occasions the rudeness of staff and attitude is unbelievable. Every time they pick up the phone, it’s like they don’t wanna be there and help you with anything. Additionally, on multiple occasions they made errors on my daughter’s account regarding appointments and follow ups. The appointments would not register and would not be added to her account. Instead admitting the mistakes on multiple occasions, the lady whispered under her breath, “oh my god”. I find this to be disheartening that I’m looking for a new doctor for my 4 years old daughter, not because of medical treatment or staff/doctors but because of the front desk staff and their continuous attitude and poor customer service.

I had the best service working with Suzy, Phoebe and Katy at Goswick Eye! I experienced their patience and their incredible assistance in Concord, Hudson, and Northboro! They have a lovely collection of frames! I’m so glad I found them!

Suzie helped me pick out a pair of specs. I browsed the shop without any pressure. Suzie went out of her way to make sure I understood my VSP benefits all while having a browse through the glasses. Excited to have them come in shortly. … More

My experience at Goswick Eye in West Concord was outstanding. Susie was friendly, knowledgeable on the product I was looking for, the pricing, insurance coverage, and lens options. Everything went smoothly and quickly, they know their business soup to nuts…and the music in the shop was awesome :c)

Dr. Kievel was recommended to me by my opthamologist as well as a girlfriend who has used him. He did cataract surgery on both my eyes. He listened to my goals for the outcome and tailored my lenses just for me. I had no trouble with either surgery and the outcome was fantastic! He took the time to explain things and his quietly confident manner gives me absolute faith in his abilities. I trust him completely with my eyes!

GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! BILL = $994.07 for NOTHING I was referred to Mass Eye and Ear in Concord by my primary care physician, after my doctor noticed that I had a deviated septum which showed up on some X-rays. I arrived and met with doctor Michael Fattal, who put a camera up my nose diagnosed me with something I already knew I had and told me he couldn't help then basically shooed me out. I was in and out maybe 10 minutes. I was already ticked off at this point, now imagine my disbelief when I received a bill for $994.07!!!! This included a charge of $861.00 for "OFFICE VISIT". I kid you not $861.00 for just walking through the front door. I've had emergency room visits cost less! I have linked the bill(I blacked out my personal information), I am in utter disbelief with this place!

Went here for a hearing test for my son. Facility is nice and the staff were friendly. However they had us wait 45 minutes between the test being done and the followup appointment which was just unnecessary. The followup lasted a couple of minutes and easily could have been done sooner. Further they told us it was covered under our insurance but failed to mention it was billed at a hospital visit rate despite being a standard hearing test in a doctors office (not at a hospital). I had confirmed with my insurance they would cover a hearing test (in patient) but because Mass Eye and Ear is billing it at a hospital rate it was not covered. When I confronted them about it they told me that it was covered by my insurance but just at my hospital visit rate. Absolutely unbelievable and misleading. EDIT - Sent Susan an email the same day she responded to this review but did not hear back. After some additional follow up the bill stood and had to be paid. Take care when doing any procedures (even hearing tests) at this office and ask for them to get a direct estimate from your insurance.

0/10, all this place cares about is making money. I made an appointment for a persistent ear ache. Diagnosed with an ear infection and prescribed antibiotics. But then the doctor said they wanted to find the “root of the problem” and scheduled a hearing test for after the infection cleared. At the time I thought it was strange since I told her hearing loss was not an issue, but I also thought it was kind of her to be thorough and want to help with the pain. Went back for a follow-up appointment after the hearing test and the doctor spent literally 1 minute with me - she said everything was normal and dismissed me. I said “what about the pain, and finding the root of the problem?” She was still dismissive and suggested I try an ENJ clinic, or go to a facility with more extensive testing. So basically I was conned into spending $800 on a hearing test I didn’t need, and offered no further help.

I have gone to Dr Niro for years. I feel he is genuinely interested in my eye health and I have confidence in his care.
