Dr. Chung was great and very thorough during the exam. His staff is very polite and helpful as well. Best experience I’ve with vision care.

Very disappointed and disgusted with the lack of grace and empathy I experienced. I will not recommend this company, especially after reviewing other reviews it shows there is a history and pattern of the staff having a 'Nice/Nasty' attitude toward patrons.
After driving, and arriving 15 minutes prior to scheduled appointment time, to the wrong location, in the midst of an active severe thunderstorm with down powerlines and stoplights, strong winds, and heavy rain - my child and I were rudely turned away. Even though the secondary location (3 miles away) stated that "If [I] leave right now, [I] could still be seen".
Their lack of communication, awareness, and empathy is disgusting with no regard for my time. Once the other location was on the phone, anyone with eyes could see the heavy gust of winds and slow moving traffick outside of their doors. It could've easily been communicated that it might be best to be rescheduled.
1.) Their company needs to update their address(es) with Google maps.
2.) They need compassion training.
3.) The staff need better communication.
First time making an appointment, and the "grace period" was never mentioned. Being so, the skinny old in the face Caucasian lady in the front, stated "Yes, you missed the grace period." And I still had to pull teeth by asking "Well, what's the grace period time?" ...Then had the nerve to say "10 minutes" .. 😶 It was 6:12pm. Just turning on the minute at that 🤭🤣😅 It was comical because she was very serious too. Then had the nerve to follow up with, "And I'm sure the doctor won't see you" 👀 Well,
1.) I didn't inquire.
And 2.) Now that she mentioned it, wouldn't GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE might've stated the exact OPPOSITE? 🤔
I.e. "Per Our policy, we only allow a 10 minute grace period. However, since you were here at the 10 minute mark - Let me see if the doctor will see you" ...
You could've even went in the back closet & twirled your thumbs tbh 😅 What adds insult is the fact she acknowledged she did receive the call from the other location that I was indeed on my way.
Funniest thing about the whole ordeal, my 7 year old was standing at the door (not wanting to go in without me) at 6:09pm. Understandably so. They watched me through a window, putting my 2 year old toddler shoes on. Whew!
If you didn't want to see me... I mean, I would say she could've JUST SAID THAT! But I'm Sure they don't want a lawsuit so that's why in their culture it's second nature to just be "Nice/Nasty" 🤷🏾♀️
Anywho, DON'T GO THERE!

I cannot say enough great things about this office! The staff goes above and beyond to make your experience the best! We have been using this office for 10+ years and this is the best overall staff ever! Vanessa is an absolute joy! She made my son’s and my initial eye checks and scans so much fun!! Cathy and April are so pleasant and easy to work with! They were so accommodating and made sure we were happy with our frame selections. After receiving my new glasses, I decided I really didn’t love the frames. They had me come back and select new ones. I would highly recommend this office to anyone.

My son and I both saw Dr Patel in July and were extremely satisfied with her work and found her extremely professional. The staff helped me find modern and cool titanium frames. She got me more features and discounts through my insurance than the last store I went to. I recommend to everyone I know!

I have been going here for some time. I love Dr. Mike and even recommended my daughter go there. However in recent years they have gone very down hill. Not only did my daughter have a horrible experience but she was treated with disrespect by the lady lady at the front desk. I had an appointment one day and took off work to go to my appointment. Only to find a note on the door stating they had a flood and were closed. When I called the number on the door and said why did you not call me? I know they had my number as I had been going there for years. There was no apology. Just well I am working from home. Wow!!! The lady up front acts like you are annoying her for just walking through the door. I will not be going back.

I have been searching for an optometrist and brought my mom and daughter here. Everything was so well run with no waiting. Dr. B was extremely thorough and very knowledgeable in assessing my 8 year old and my 76 year old mom. We have found a great doctor and look forward to coming back in the future.

I have been going to see Dr. Mike for years, I just have all of my children and a lot of my grandchildren. I am raising two grandchildren and today I took one in and was told that they could no longer supply me with glasses because I have Medicaid for him. Now I have to go find someplace else to fill his prescription. Medicaid doesn’t pay well I understand that but Dr. Mike always felt that even poor people needed good doctors and good service. Sadly with his retirement the business he built isn’t the same.

I was looking for help for my 7 yr old daughter. And she is not always easy for medical staff to work with. Had a great experience with this group! Every single person we worked with went over and above to help us and make us comfortable. I was blown away. Will be with them for years to come and recommend them to everyone. Thank you for everything!

I was very pleased with the results of my visit today! Everyone from the staff at the front desk to Dr Chao was amazing! When one of the girls was done with the first part of my exam she said she would tighten my glasses arms not only did she do that but she cleaned them and fixed the nose pads and got me a new glass case! All the girls are really gracious and kind!!! I would highly recommend Woodstock Optometry!

Our whole family goes here and we have always had a great experience. The doctor and staff are so friendly. When my daughter went for an exam last month, the staff noticed that it was her birthday and they surprised her with a massive cupcake!
