Dr Johnson was really fantastic. He explained what every tool does and why we were using it in a quick and easy to understand way, and he took the time to diagnose what I thought was a lazy eye and gave me a new suggestion for exercises I can try to remedy it. The customer service there was also great as the ladies working took the time to answer my questions.

I got PRK with Dr. Hyver in April. He and his staff are professional, friendly, and informative - they provided all of the information I needed to make the decision to get PRK (since I didn't qualify for LASIK). During the procedure, Dr. Hyver and his assistant guided me through every step of the process in a supportive manner. When I had a small complication during recovery, I called their office during off-hours and was able to speak with a medical professional within moments, who gave me steps to resolve the complication and move forward in making a complete recovery. I now have 15/20 vision and it's been life-changing!

Very professional and polite service

I wish I could say what kind of experience I had with this office, but they would need to pick up their phone for me to actually have an experience with them. I’ve been calling for two weeks daily. And no way to leave a voicemail. And definitely no way to get a human on the phone. I will be reaching out to my plan to get a new doctor.

My grandma (Evelyn) attended this clinic today and had a great experience. She was looking for a new eye doctor in her area and now has found a clinic she will most certain be returning to. She said the staff was very kind and helpful. Dr. Jardon made her feel very comfortable and walked her through all of her eye exams. She felt very secure with his knowledge of his practice and has already scheduled a future appointment. This place is without a doubt recommended to anyone and everyone!

My whole family has been seeing Dr. Chia since 90s. We love Dr. Chia and the front office ladies .. especially May. She always patiently explains the insurance benefits and keeps my wife updated with annual allowance.. We’ll be seeing Dr. Chia for many years to come..

He's the best. I saw hime before getting new glasses because I'd been told by my optomestrist that I had cataracts. Dr. Shomer diagnosed them, then performed the surgery to remove them. IT WAS TRANSFORMATIVE! Now I can see again. He did a great job. He's very thorough, he follows up, he cares -- what more could you want? His staff is terrific, too.

I highly recommend to everyone to avoid UIC in general. If you need an Eye specialist please please please go to University of Iowa in Iowa City. #1 in the country!!!! Their staff is friendly, they communicate well, not crammed into 1 little tiny space, multiple specialists with open options and opinions, and everything is billed on one statement for same day visits. At UIC, I sat and waited for 2hours to be seen. When I asked where Dr Jain was, I was told he is running late because he had a meeting he was in. So the Dr did not communicate to his staff to inform his patients he was running late. Next, sending 2 separate bills instead of one for same day visit. You don’t send 2 separate bills when being seen on the same day visit. Billing dept. was awful, I was given the runaround, and they dont do a great job representing UIC in a professional manner. Finally, when calling Dr Jain’s office, they won’t call back for a week; there line is always, “we got tied up with other patients.” For whole week…really??? Well I am one less person to worry, and you not need to worry about getting my money any longer. I like U of Iowa and that is where I will be going from now on. Again, U of Iowa, BEST IN THE COUNTRY AND RANKED NUMBER 1 IN THE COUNTRY!!!! GO THERE AND NOT UIC.
