Never had a problem with my vision since I had started going to these professionals. I moved to Tennessee back in 2000 and have been going to Shields and Shields ever since. They have state of the art equipment and a very friendly staff. Your vision is priority one.

Booked an appointment with them after a referral from another vision center, the first person I spoke with whom was a male got my name right on the first try after our initial phone call. The second & third phone call that I received from who I’m guessing to be, the receptionist was a blatant example of micro aggression. The receptionist Donna butchered my name, even stating before her attempt that she was probably going to say it wrong & still proceeded to continue, didn’t apologize also told me she’d probably forget it again. You know most people attempt to use your last name if they’re unsure of your first just as a common courtesy. Well I received another appointment reminder call from her again never mentioning her own name until I asked for it & when I corrected her about the mispronunciation again, she chuckled about it. Unless you want to deal with micro aggressions I wouldn’t recommend.

I had a very good experience. But what gave it five stars. Was Tim! He works in the glasses section from the moment I walked in the door. He smiled at me and welcomed me. I had a nice conversation before I was taken in the back. I saw Dr. Kathy Gonzalez. She was very nice cordial a little serious definitely laid-back. She was specific and to the point. Answered questions that I had. I’ve been going to this particular office for a while now, and I will continue to do so in the future. The ease of making an appointment getting my yearly exam completed and purchasing a pair of glasses was made very simple. Tim is excellent. He’s very hospitable. He had humor and made the ease my purchasing my glasses, and what my interests were, he was not pushy. He basically let you tell him what you needed and he showed you what they had available. Thank you so much Tim you made my experience a very pleasant one!

I love Focus Eye care. I just took my whole family and got the best customer service and Dr. Dan Lee is funny but cares about our eye care which was great! Amazing staff there too, so friendly and helpful! Wish I can give them 100 stars!

Incredibility long wait times. They consistently over schedule their capacity to service. It appears they recently merged several organizations into a central provider group. Received billings and invoices from Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, and Detroit. Called for clarification and was assured we were paid up. 3 weeks later received notice for referral to collections. Simply a frustrating and unpleasant experience.

I want to get on here and tell the staff how awesome they truly are! I want to tip my hat off to Ricky! He reached out to me proactively letting me know I was running low on contacts. I came in today he immediately assisted me with my order promptly and professionally his customer service has made a lasting impression, I can’t think of my optometrist name but he got me in a pair of biofinity and the contacts are everything! Forever grateful and will keep coming back!
