Dr. Pham is excellent! I’ve seen many optometrists and she’s be far the best. She explains everything she’s doing. She listened to my past experiences and was very thoughtful in her recommendations. Her office staff is incredible, too. AJ is fantastic! He helped me pick out beautiful frames. I don’t normally write reviews and this is well deserved

Great experience with Dr. Pham, went in for a routine and long overdue eye check. Had a comprehensive, efficient and on-time exam with plenty of opportunity to ask questions. My vision turned out to be OK and prescription optional which was good news. I will be coming back!

Very unprofessional Customer service. Stereotyping at its highest level. The Customer service personnel need to get a lesson on the nature of her task, and how to fairly treat customers. Very Disappointed.

So happy he is open on.. ▒(୨୧•͈ᴗ•͈) " SATURDAY " & " SUNDAY " ░(୨୧•͈ᴗ•͈)
My visit on June 16, 2017 was the same level of treatment I had in 2009. I recently came back to Dr. Payam Z. Irani a couple of months ago. My insurance was Anthem Blue Cross, which caused me to leave, and now I am with Alameda Alliance.
I saw his name as a provider for Alameda Alliance I was so excited. My first thought was, " he was so smart, he found things that other Optometrist have missed. I just remember his level of knowledge and how he explained to what was going on with my eyes.
I also want to add, his prices for glasses are more affordable than Walmart. I priced progressive with transition lenses $310.00 that was with me having my own frames. His price was around $30.00 to $40.00 less. It may not seem like a lot but I am on a fixed income so it was very reasonable and affordable.
What is also different you have friendly staff the atmosphere is so much better than other places I have been In and around East Oakland. His office carries various brands and designers of glasses to choose from.
The location is public transportation friendly, his office is directly in the Fruitvale Plaza 10 steps away from Fruitvale Bart Station and Fruitvale AC transit transfer point to other buses.
The down side is, the parking if you drive, it's on street parking, "but who needs to drive when you can Bart or Bus to his office. His location is near a lot of places you can sit and eat or if you just want to sit and have a cup of coffee. Certain days their is a Farmers Market in the Plaza. Excellent location.
I am just happy Dr. Irani is still there after 14 years at this location. I can't express how much anyone would benefit to go to a Optometrist that can explain so you understand, how to care for your eyes and get a pair of glasses that are reasonable and affordable, I am sure he takes other insurances than mentioned above..I Highly Recommend Fruitvale Optometry.

Dr. Azam Qureshi of UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital of Oakland, Ophthamology, went above and beyond with my son who has autism, epilepsy, and intellectual disabilities as a result of his rare disorder, SYNGAP1 NSID. After uncovering a mutual love of Ghostbusters and all things ghosts during the pre-op appointment, Dr. Qureshi showed up to surgery the next day with his own proton pack to match my son’s and with his phenomenal bedside manner, he helped to keep my son happy and calm leading into surgery. The staff in the Outpatient Unit was equally as wonderful and even supplied a virtual reality headset preset with calming apps. To say I was impressed with Dr. Qureshi and the outpatient team at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital of Oakland would be an understatement. It’s rare to find a doctor that truly connects with their patients and we feel so blessed that we were lucky enough to find Dr. Azam Qureshi! Thank you for taking care of my child as if he was your own!!!

I will not be returning to Dr. K. We had an appointment time for my son and ended up waiting over 2 hours to be seen. Then, once in the room, he spent about 15 seconds with us. Ridiculous. Additionally, after scheduling a procedure that required arranging childcare for my other children, the week of the procedure I find out the doctor decided to go to a conference. This behavior is completely unprofessional and displays a lack of respect for his patients.

Very poor response. I been calling them to make my sons eye appointment as he got referred by his PCP but no one is calling back . I left my cell phone number and they call one time on my home number . I left numerous message with my cell phone . Still waiting and he will start school soon . I was hoping he will be able to see the Dr before school starts . I don’t know how to reach them .

Great service, very amiable doctor, cares a lot about her patients and follows up if she's worried about them, great glasses for cheap.
