Have been going to Dr Woods office for many years. 25+ or more years I believe. The reception ladies and optometrist assistants are always welcoming and very kind. Dr Wood has never once made me wait long, is always very professional and answers any question I have. He keeps a great balance to making he aware of new services or products without making me feel like he is just there to sell me something. I appreciate that greatly. Great selection of frames and product. Easy to get appointments, availability is high on my list of needs since I work a lot. I would recommend not booking late in the year because I do think they get a bit busier with everyone (like me) trying to get in before the year and insurance is up. Highly recommend them.

Try as I might, I can't find a single complaint against them! From the Doctor, the staff, location, ambiance and service, they're all top notch. I was greeted immediately by reception and within moments taken back to the exam rooms. Everyone seemed so happy and joyful, Dr. Wood was professional and caring, even getting fitted for my new glasses was a pleasant experience. Prices on eyeware were very reasonable, quite a bit lower than expected. I only wish I had found them sooner!

This was my first appointment with this office. Immediately upon entry, I was (pleasantly!) surprised at the beauty & spaciousness. I was quickly greeted by the friendly receptionist, and after a couple quick questions, ushered back to begin my exam. The lady that assisted me (sorry, do not recall her name) was FABULOUS, as was their equipment and set up! Very friendly, and equally efficient! I was then taken to another exam room just a few steps away, where I was comfortably seated, and waited maybe 4-5 minutes for Dr. Wood, as he finished with another patient. Once he entered, he proceeded to give me a thorough eye exam, with no sense of time constraint! It was amazing! Following the exam, I walked out into their beautiful optimal eye ware area, and discussed with their professional there my eye ware needs and options. Just as with Dr. Wood and all other staff I’d encountered in that visit, she was extremely knowledgeable & friendly. I left that office literally thinking “I think I just found one of the best hidden gems this city has to offer!” I could not recommend Dr. Ed Wood, Pennie Wood, and Family Eye Care Associates more highly!

From reading other reviews, it seems as though what I believed to be unfortunate luck that made me late to my appointment was a godsend. They refused to see me, which I do understand was my own fault for being late. It was the total lack of compassion or respect that made me not wish to be rescheduled here. The receptionist sucks. She’s rude and uncaring. Agree wholeheartedly with all the other negative comments posted on here about their reception workers.

Took my daughter for the first time. I was in and out within an hr! They treated my daughter with so much kindness. She’s always been scared of going to the dr and they made her feel comfortable the whole time.

It took us 6 months to get an appointment because they did not have an optometrist, then three and a half hours at the facility the day of the appointment all for them to order and give me the wrong pair of glasses for my son. I have a photo of him in the glasses he picked out, and one of him in the glasses they gave us, and the difference is evident. They gave us frames that are much too small for his face and now we have to pay out of pocket for new frames because they don’t even have the respect to answer or call back when I have tried reaching them. This is seriously the most run down and unprofessional medical office I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. Do not go here! And if by chance the office sees this review I would love it if you could Finally get back to me.

Have been taking my Dad here for years. Always a great experience! Short wait time. Clean lobby. Staff is very dedicated and helpful. My Dad has special needs (hearing defects) and the staff take the time to communicate with him so he understands procedures and answer his questions. Doctor takes the time to sit with him and provide answers. I am thankful for Central Valley Eye! Thank you.

Called in as a new patient referred by my health plan Anthem HMO and requested the latest appointment of the day. I was booked 2 weeks out for 4:00 pm and still pushed to come in “early” @ 3:30 to fill out forms. I arrived at 3:45 and was having a hard time finding the place, feeling rushed and stressed I called the office for assistance. The office quickly identified me and started that I was late, and they should have to check with the doctor if I would be seen. I found the place and walked in by 3:50 and was now told that my 4pm appointment was cancelled as I was late. The receptionist called up the office manager who just repeated what with the receptionist had told me (with a smerk I might add) that my appointment was no longer on the books as the doctor had somewhere “else” to be. Bottom line is the Front office ladies have zero customer service skills and poor communication at best. I adjusted my work schedule to end early and drive half hour from my home for an appointment that was never even scheduled properly. I’m going to be contacting my insurance and letting them know the situation as well and requesting a different provider. Just wanted to give all of you potential patients a heads up if you schedule with this office be sure to get everything triple checked and give yourself plenty of time to accommodate their schedulee - as they will not accommodate you or provide any customer service/accountablity for their mistakes.

The staff at Stockdale Optometry are helpful and positive in their desire to help you. Dr. Aoyama has been professional and helpful meeting my personal vision needs. I recommend this office to others for their visual assessments and health.

I went to Stockdale optometry‘s webpage and made a online scheduled appointment for the following Monday. There was a glitch in the system and the ladies in the front office worked diligently to see that I was able to come in on the date I had originally picked. Thank you. I saw Dr Vasudha Bhutani for my check up and Eye exam. She did an outstanding job answering any and all of my questions. I then ordered a new pair of glasses and contact lenses. The staff that waited on me were all very patient, helpful and nice. I highly recommend Stockdale optometry for any of your vision needs.
