Leaving the Vision Center now feeling alive!! I knew I've always needed glasses but not how much better I'd feel wearing them. Thomas helped me when I first went in a week ago, and not knowing what to expect, he steered the ship and I trusted him. I'm glad I did. Glasses look great and sunglasses look even better! Service was amazing!

I was in need of a new prescription for contact lenses ASAP because I am traveling outside the country and I put this task behind the burner. I found myself here because I knew they would take walk-ins. I had taken my daughter here before but just for vision test. Definitely convenient for on the go situation. The ladies in the front are helpful when its not busy but for sure is knowledgeable with the products and handling insurance. I do have to comment about the eye doctor, he has some tendencies to not listen and quite frankly, today he pretty much dismissed my on what I have to say. I think I may have bothered him (how I felt) sitting and relaxing. I wanted to ask for tinted / colored contacts but of course I was ignored. He might probably forgotten that I paid out of pocket for his services.

I showed up this morning for my scheduled eye appointment. When I walked in the receptionist was beyond rude and said to me "ya we've been trying to call you to cancel your appointment, we don't accept your insurance." I confirmed that she had the correct phone number and she did. I NEVER received a call or message from Baystate to cancel my appointment. Not only that, I DID receive not one but THREE "appointment reminder" texts with the most recent being YESTERDAY. Obviously, if I had received a call cancelling my appointment I wouldn't have come to the clinic. What aggravates me the most about this situation that I found this clinic THROUGH my insurance company. Their address is literally listed online as accepting my insurance. Not only did I look online prior to my visit -I also called their office to confirm this! I asked to confirm that they accept my insurance and gave my insurance information prior to my visit. I was told "yes we accept your insurance and you're all set." If they didn't accept my insurance WHY would they book an appointment for me?! I took a day off and arranged for child care for this appointment. This was a complete waste of my time and energy and I am now running out of contacts and overdue for an eye exam. The staff lied about ever trying to contact me and were extremely rude. The least they could have done was apologize for THEIR mistake! Horrible experience and extremely rude front desk staff.

Here for routine eye exam and new glasses. Fantastic experience that only comes from a team that has years of experience with a combination of genuine kindness and interest.

I went to my first medical appointment and it was very satisfying for me. Well received from the reception. Served by doctor Alex Hentschel afterwards who was very kind. Despite my low level of English, Doctor Alex was very patient in helping me understand the problem with my vision . I was well helped for a choice of glasses. All the employees were very professional, kind and attentive.

The older woman with glasses at the front desk is rude. Their system was down today so they had to reschedule our appointment. Which is an inconvenience but I understand that stuff happens and it isn't their fault. But we walked in 15 minutes early and this lady is looking at me like I have 10 heads and tells me very slowly and in a rude tone that they're just taking names and numbers because the system is down. It's like she expected me to know that they weren't doing appointments today and I annoyed her by coming in. Not sure what her problem was, but her attitude is what irritated me, not the fact that we have to reschedule. Do better.

Terrible. Not the staff but the scheduling. I have been going to eye health services for years, have never had an issue with waiting. Today I waited an hour just to see the tech and now I wait again for the Doctor. My appointment was at 3:15 and here it is 4:30 and I am still here. The tech told me it is ever since the conversion with OCB. She said that they have lost staff because of the over scheduling. Well now they are going to lose a patient.

I called and pressed 3. The lady on a new patient line picked up. I started to explain my eye issue and she hanged up on me. Called again. Urgent eye issue, they cannot see me until October. Called a different place and got appointment for tomorrow.

It was my first time in the office. The receptionist read the last 4 digits of my social for the whole waiting room to hear. The equipment used for my eye exam looked archaic. I wish I had an exam with updated equipment and a different doctor because my appointment felt rushed. Dr. Weene did not hear my full concerns and my needs were not met.

Love Dr. Weene! Very reliable! Their hours are always consistent. They call you to remind you of upcoming annual exam dates. Great prices & a huge selection if frames upstairs in their optical shop. Always kind and courteous, so long as you show the same respect. They always answer the phone, & you can almost always book appointments to be seen pretty much immediately-within 7-14 days usual max booking out. Best of all is everything RE the entire process behind being a contact lens wearer. Contact lens pricing is fabulous, decent selection, though I have not reviewed variety in selection recently. No ridiculous entrapment contact lens procedures just to charge you or silly random contact lens fees for silly stuff. & they are not offended if you request your paper prescription for glasses/contacts so that you can take to a retailer that might have a specific brand/design or better pricing. They're always quick to respond when those 3rd party retailers request an prescription/updates in prescription info be faxed to them from their office. ....& to my own personal struggles in the past, having never felt I could ever see clearly through my glasses within my glasses field of view as I do through my contacts, I had told that to a few different optometrists @ my big collective health practice in which I see my PCP at as well for many years, to which I only ever received a reply of "this is the prescription equivalent to your contact lens prescription your supposed to have"... Dr. Weene finally adjusted for me. Before I would get glasses just in case I couldn't afford to restock my lenses, but I'd never wear them & I occasionally like to. But I can now! P.S. They carry a much larger variety & selection of what's been commonly referred to as "MassHealth frames/glasses" (covered by those w/ MassHealth standard coverage) than I have yet to find anywhere else. Thanks for giving economically hardshipped more choices! We appreciate it very much!
