The receptionist, who I believe is his wife, is very nice. The doctor is friendly to patients that are as pretentious as him. But if you come in with your SO and they have injured their eye don’t expect even courtesy.
He treated my adult partner as if he were a child. Admonishing him for having pain. My partner is no sissy and will only bother with doctors if he’s in terrible pain.
The doctor came out for eye drops and rolled his eyes at his receptionist wife. Nothing was explained. Don’t bother with this doctor. He only treats certain patients as humans. DO NOT USE HIM.

My encounter with Dr Willard was nothing but miracle. I woke up with a blurry eye and it won’t go, I went to emergency room with crazy eyeball pressure. They were trying to release the pressure with a surgical procedure and Dr Willard was on call. When he arrived, he quickly diagnosed me and recognized a very rare disease that younger doctors in emergency room did not hear of. I think it already tells of his extraordinary experience.
Dr Willard was able to recover my condition with a whole different treatment and since then I do not trust with my eyes to no one else but him. I liked his jokes a lot and he has a very unique character overall.
Dr Brian Willard saved my eye sight and I wish this world had more doctors like HIM.

Dr Willard has a dry personality. He’s not going to coddle you or hold your hand. He is going to thoroughly diagnose your problem or refer you to others who can help. Very professional. Diagnosed the cause of an issue that was plaguing me for months. Comes off as aloof but he definitely is MY ophthalmologist until he retires. Highly recommend.

I was recently seen by Dr. Lund for an eye exam, and was extremely impressed with him as a physician. He went above and beyond to provide top-notch eye care, and was thorough in his assessment. He took the time to listen to my concerns, and answered all of my questions. His knowledge and passion for his field was evident throughout the examination. He explained each step, making sure that I understood what was happening, and why.
I gave this review 5 stars because it is for Dr. Lund himself, and has nothing to do with his staff. I was a bit surprised at how unprofessional one of the staff members was after becoming overwhelmed. While she explained the purpose of each test, and took the time to answer my questions, she displayed frustration for her colleagues and it was evident by her loud statements, etc. She was verbal, and made her frustrations known throughout the entire office which has no place in a professional setting around customers.
Overall, I was very happy with the care that I received, and would recommend to others, although adults should act like adults in professional settings.

I am very disappointed with the way they treated my teenage daughter (19) during her appointment. They did not listen to her concerns and gave her an inaccurate prescription. They office staff rolled their eyes when she came back in to correct the mistake. Had a parent been with her I imagine she would not have been treated this way and that is unacceptable. She deserves the same respect as an older adult. Yes prescriptions can change but if someone is telling you they can’t see it is because they can’t. When I called to voice my concerns I was told that people can perceive things in different ways essentially blaming my child instead of acknowledging an issue. Bottom line is they sent my kid out with a -4 prescription when in reality she is a -4.5. Considering she needs the contacts/glasses to see and drive I consider that a huge safety issue. They also refused to give her a prescription for glasses, only contacts, even after paying for the exam stating that they had no proof her vision changed. She provided a previous prescription for her glasses but was told that meant nothing to them since she wasn’t seen there. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you choose to send your child/teenager there please make sure they are accompanied by someone else to ensure that they get proper treatment.

I'm so impressed with this eye doctor and the staff here. I've had some bad experiences in the past with eye doctors. This office is small, but intimate and very friendly. They helped me so much with getting my contacts, explained everything to me so I understood what I was paying for, and I was able to take care of everything in one visit. You can go back if you need any adjustments and when I put my new contacts in, I felt like I could finally see clearly and comfortably. The doctor definitely knows his stuff and the staff is very informative too. I would definitely recommend!

It was a good visit he is always super friendly. He helped me get a pair of glasses bent that I got online and checked to make sure they were correct. Team members working were very polite and friendly.

I’ve been coming to Dr. Altenderfer for a few years and he is always pleasant and personable. The office is clean and the staff is friendly. I came in for contact exam and Dr. Altenderfer provided me with free samples to try before ordering.
