The staff was very friendly and organized, the issue I had was the wait time. I think that was only because the Doctor was running behind. Other than that overall it was a good experience.

I have been wearing eye glasses practically all of my life, and it seems this is the first time my prescription is just right. I'm very thankful and appreciative of Dr. Goodman, and his staff. They are very nice people. Derrrick

Be prepared to wait 2 hours before being seen by the doctor. He even said himself that he’s overbooked.. Also at checkout they told me my copay was $100 when I provided by insurance at check in. Called back to see where the mix up was and someone at another location answered but told me they had me as self pay but yet had my insurance on file. She told me it would take 8 days before they billed it out and 3-4 weeks before hearing back from my insurance. I was still confused as to why they tried collecting a $100 copay at checkout but wanted to wait on the $35 copay that I actually owed until insurance responded. Also I am breastfeeding and can’t used the cream he called in for my eyelid so I called back and didn’t hear a thing back from them at all today. Guess I will suffer another night. Overall poor/bad experience.I don’t think the doctor is terrible.

I was referred to Dr. Owens in 2014 or 2015. I have cataracts and glaucoma. I was using drops and had laser surgeries in 2016 and 2017. My eyes worsened. He kept saying surgery. When he finally did surgery I have lost sight in my right eye. I am devastated 😢 because I am a healthy, energetic 73 year old female. Now I am handicapped. I can not understand why he waited so long. I am a patient in Birmingham now and had three surgeries al

My eyesight isn't any better. I'm sure this post won't make it to his website.

I highly recommend them. They went beyond the call of dut for me. They give great customer service. Becca 😍was truly amazing. She was very patient with me and her personality is outstanding. 😊The other lady was very impatient and short with customers and some refused to see her and waited on BECCA to become available 🥰. I'm so happy that I was next in line to see her 🙌Becca along with Kirk are very professional , personable and proficient 👍🏽 Even the guys in the lab were very personable and friendly. I was excited about getting my BRAND NEW GLASSES 🕶️ and they were READY BEFORE I LEFT 💜💜💜

I went to Eyemart Express and the service was poor and I had purchased a pair of glasses. I decided that this pair of glasses wasn't right for me, I told the manager, and he stayed in te back for almost an hour I called him prior to going down for my refund, he was being incredibly rude to have kept me waiting. He didn't want to refund the insurance portion and my portion either. He gave me a extremely difficult time by refusing to refund glasses. I do not recommend this place, because they try toobliga obligat me to buy glasses, even if they are not suitable.

With me being a quadriplegic who is solely focusing on my independence, it was an overall great experience honestly. The customer service was great, and they were very prompt! So THANK YOU for making my visit a pleasant one 🙏🏾🖤 …

I and my wife have been using Dr. Young at 20/20 for some time. Dr. Young did cataract surgery a few years ago on my right eye. We thought very highly of this practice. In December of 2020 I became ill (heart issue) and was placed on a respirator for five weeks. When I finally woke up I was partially paralyzed. My right leg was and is still not usable, but I am regaining use of it through physical therapy, now able to stand on both feet and walk some with the use of a walker. My wife and I had an appointment with Dr. Young for a routine eye exam as we both need a change in prescriptions. On the particular day of our exam we left home and drove 53 miles in the rain for the exam. When we arrived the rain was still falling, even harder than when we left home. We waited, hopefully for the rain to stop. It did not. Since I am still wheelchair bound, with no cover to get the chair out of the trunk, so we could stay dry, along with my inability to move fast to the exam office, I decided to reschedule for a better day. I was told that if I canceled we would have a $25.00 each cancellation fee to pay before we could reschedule. I reminded the person that the only reason I needed to reschedule was that I was crippled and could not move to the office without getting soaked. That made no difference to her. So, I told her we would not be back. We made another appointment with another doctor to have our vision corrected. This time in our own locality. N Ed & Maureen Weaver

When I lived in Montgomery the only ophthalmologist I would see was Dr. Young. I was always treated well by the staff, Dr. Young himself is very professional and there is no doubt he truly cares about his patients and his work. Also, Ms. Carol who handles in-house contact fitting, ordering, etc. is very patient and kind and taught me as a 13-year-old boy how to properly wear my contacts. I miss the ease, accuracy, and professionalism of this practice; I have yet to find any practices in my area that I have been to that provide me even a fraction of the pleasure I used to experience from 20/20 Ophthalmic Associates and Dr. Young.

I'm 36 years old, and I have used 20/20 my entire life as my father had used 20/20 since before I was even born, I suppose. Donald ran the glasses shop, and I first met him my first visit back in 1989. Now his son-in-law runs the shop most of the time, but the whole outfit is personal and family-like. I also love how they still have the practice on Narrow Lane Road for those of us who still live in traditional Montgomery.
