I had not had a routine eye exam for at least 5 years. I made an appt. With Dr. Curtis Millet at Standard Optical in Holladay. The staff was amazing! Greeted me warmly and were very customer oriented. Dr. Millet was awesome. He was warm and friendly and very professional. I felt like I got a very thorough exam. He offered me glasses and showed me what my vision would be like with them. Since I am not a fan of glasses and function just fine without glasses I declined the offer. He was fine with that decision. I felt listened to. He was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this location and Dr. Millet. It was a very pleasant visit! I will return here for my annual eye exams in the future!

Dr. Millet is great. Listens to concerns, great with kids, and is always calm and collected. He has taken care of my family for years, and continues to do so even now that it is a significant drive for us. Highly recommend.

The only place we will shop for glasses is Wolcott’s. Not only is their selection of eyewear exceptional, the customer service is off the charts. The minute you walk in you are greeted like an old friend. Larry has a gift for helping select frames that not only fit properly but flatter your face and your sense of style. Thank you to Janet and her team for making our experience five stars!!

The staff at Wolcott are all exceptionally talented professionals. They are highly knowledeable and will take the time needed to make sure you are happy. I have been a satified customer for years. Colleen recently took great care in helping my teenage son select his first pair of glasses. The store has a large assortment of quality frames in all different and unique styles. Get top-drawer service at a locally owned optical business. You will be glad you did.

WAY BETTER than "Standard Optical" and all those eyeglass stores. Way Better!! At Wolcott's you'll never encounter staff who are clueless or don't care about eyewear, etc. They are knowledgeable about what they sell and do. You will NOT be sent across town to a lab to get your lenses fitted. Wolcott's offers products & services that are better, more convenient, more advanced, make more sense, have better warranties & are quicker than any of their competitors. I regret wasting time & money at another place. Should have gone to Wolcott's 1st!

Not a good option for students with the U of U heath insurance When I scheduled my appointment I confirmed that they accepted my insurance (EMI Health). After the appointment was complete they clarified that they only accept EMI Health medical insurance, not vison, so I ended up paying an unexpected $188. The actual appointment went well, but the insurance issue left a pretty bad impression for me, and I've made sure to let other graduate students know to steer clear.

Dr. Martin and all the office staff are competent and kind. I definitely recommend them. I came to Eyemax from another eye doctor who had essentially told me that my issue was all in my head and there was nothing to be done. Dr. Martin did not agree, and has been appropriately managing my dry eye and Thygeson’s ever since. I appreciate that he takes pictures of my eyes at every visit and explains what the pictures show, so I know exactly what’s going on. The only con is that they tend to fall behind schedule, so I have often had to wait long past my appointment time. But that has improved lately, so I’m optimistic that it won’t be an issue anymore.

Love Eyemax Eyecare, have been going to them for over 20 years. Dr Joe is amazing, he specializes in Keratoconus and has helped me throughout the original diagnosis and subsequent follow ups. Dr Joe and the entire staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Especially like the fact the they actually want to KNOW you, and get you what you need no matter what it takes and not just try to get you in and out as fast as they can. They always explain their billing in detail to you and if your insurance pays more than what is listed on your benefits they will send you a check back. The office staff (Ashley in particular) are always very kind and it’s pretty cool that when you walk in after a year they still know who you are. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for good eye doctor, I lived near their office for my first few years, but now live over 50 miles away and will continue to travel to be seen by Dr Joseph Martin.

I've been going here the last five years. Doctor G. is awesome. She takes her time to walk through her findings with me, and explain exactly what's going on. Even when the appointment is over she makes sure to let me know I can call or email any time if I have questions. I also feel very confident in her work. She is thorough in her testing, and my eyeglass prescriptions are always spot on. I previously had only been in for yearly appointments and new prescriptions, but lately I've been having some vision issues outside the norm, and she knew right away what could be causing it. The front desk staff are also awesome. They are friendly and knowledgeable, if Doctor G is with another patient I feel comfortable asking them questions and they have always been able to get me the answers.
