On the positive side, the receptionist were really nice, the doctor was really nice and the test that showed your retina connections was pretty cool. The glasses, when I got them, were well done.the progressive bifocal started right where I needed it this time. The not so positive side, I went in on 20th of July, and here I am on August 9 still have not received my glasses. I was told at first they could take a week at most up to two weeks I called at the one week mark seeing if glasses were in, they told me that it should be in the following week. Called the following week and they said we’re not sure, ran out of glasses material, so maybe by the end of 2nd week. And I called at the end of that week and they said oh maybe by the beginning of the third week. And called on Wednesday of the third week, and now they’re telling me it should be in by the end of the third week something about delayed shipping. I’m very frustrated, I’ve never had glasses take this long before. I used my old glasses frame instead of buying new ones; my glasses alone without the frames, with eyeglass insurance costs me between $300 - $400. I wanted to save $100+ and I liked my current frames so I opted to wear my old glasses until I got the new ones. I didn’t think it would take this long. I’ve had eyesight in which I have not been able to clearly see far away since the 20th. No discount or anything offered for the extended amount of time it’s taking my glasses to get to me. Not sure if I will return to this establishment again. The First time they were great so I went there again, but now, never in the 35 years I have had to wear glasses had I waited soo long. I got them at the end of the 3 week mark. One last note: some of the glasses lens seem to have a one year warranty if they get all scratched. If you take your glasses in to get the scratches fixed you will have to be without your glasses for at least 2 weeks, maybe count on 3 weeks.

I was asked to write a review on my new contacts, which I believe, are called Rigid Gas Permeable Contact Lenses. I guess they are something new, but not all Optometrist carry them because of the special equipment needed to test and map your eyes. Something I was told by Dr. Stack’s employees when they said they could refer me to another doctor that had them, or I could wait several months until they got the equipment in and the training that went along with it. My back story is this, when I had my last normal eye exam I was told by the optometrist that he could no longer improve my eyesight with glasses. More then likely, in the next few years, I would no longer be able to drive. At the same time, he said I had cataracts and referred me to Dr. Stack. Upon the test for cataracts, my eyes had to be retested on two different days. The numbers were so bad and they thought that either the equipment was not working properly or I was the problem. Come to find out my eyes were that bad and they had not seen numbers like that before. After I had the cataract surgery, I was told by Dr. Stack that I would, more than likely, no longer need my glasses for distance. He, also, said that he would not be try to sell me an upgrade to my cataract surgery because none of it would help me improve my vision. I believe it was during a follow up visit a few months later, that one of the other doctors saw me and checked my eyes and restated what the other optometrist had told me, that my eyes could no longer be corrected by glasses. However, there was a new contact out that might. They did not have the contacts or the equipment yet and would refer me, if I liked, or I could wait until they got it. I said I would wait and the only real reason I did was because of Dr. Stack’s honesty at the beginning of all this. Long story short, my eyes were, I believe, 20/80 in one and 20/60 in the other and the contacts corrected both eyes to 20/20. And how did I know it was something impressive? When Doctor Bush gave me the eye test, he said to himself, out loud “WOW” after I was able to read all the lines. Before I got through maybe three lines before I could not make them out. That’s my story about my new amazing Rigid Gas Permeable Contact Lenses. Oh! and the only thing nice about my eyesight being so bad, was that the contacts corrected them to the point that my insurance agreed to paid for them. John Corkins

Dr. Michelin performed my cataract surgery - both eyes with 20/20 results! The surgery center was convenient and everyone was very attentive to my needs. Would highly recommend.

My husband had cataract surgery with Dr. Mishulin and is very happy with the results. Everyone he had contact with was very friendly and professional. He recommends Michigan Vision and Dr. Mishulin very highly.

Place was spacious and comfortable. Staff very polite and professional. Was a little nervous, but Dr. K. Put me at ease. A Lot of testing, but necessary. Can't b too careful when it comes to your eyes. Overall a pleasant experience. Thank you. Terry Weber

While the staff and drs are friendly and the scheduling system is smooth, I cannot get over the fact that the office here cannot seem to bill correctly. I have paid my copay correctly multiple times and have been able to verify as much via bank statement, yet I keep receiving the same bill for the same services I have paid for. The same has happened to my husband, and when we called the billing dept to get things taken care of the first time, they zero’d out his account without reapplying any of his overpayment. This has since been resolved, but we are very disappointed with all of the hoops we have had to jump through just to pay simple bills to MEI.

Dr Diskin was friendly, kind and very thorough and explained everything to me about my eyes. He asked if I thought I could see well enough without glasses and put the choice in my hands to purchase them or not. He was not pushy which I appreciated! He will be my eye doctor now!! Staff was courteous and friendly! They did explained that I had a bill but asked if I wanted to pay today, part or all or pay when I could. No other office I’ve ever been in has been that nice about payment! Great all-around experience, even the wait was not bad!

My family has been going to the Mithoff Vision Center for several years and we have always had a great experience. We have been able to easy schedule the appointments when we need to and have always been taken care of at or before our appointment time. The doctor is very thorough and explains what she is doing during the appointment. My son loves that she provides scientific explanations for his questions. Love this place!

Dr Mithoff is the most caring compassionate doctor. She takes her time with her patients to explain everything in detail. I have always been taken great care of by this office from the doctors to the employees. I highly recommend Mithoff vision !🙂 …

I have had the pleasure of visiting Mithoff Vision Center for the past couple of years for my optometry appointments. From the start of my appointment to the end, I had an excellent experience. Each time I come I know I am in the greatest of hands. The staff at Mithoff Vision are very friendly and welcoming. She is highly knowledgeable in the field of optometry; answering any questions or concerns I may have had. Throughout the eye exam, the doctor’s expertise shined through. From her comprehensive exam, ensuring all of my questions are answered. I knew I was receiving top-tier eye care. Moving onto the eyewear, let’s just say it is fantastic! They have a range of brands, colors, and frames. With all the variety in eyewear, you can find the glasses that are just right for you! The staff are there to help guide you every step of the way and to assist you in finding the perfect frames for you. Overall, my experience here is nothing but amazing. Everything from the professional and friendly staff, the eyewear selection, the office itself, and the comfort present within the office makes this office standout within the world of optometry.
