Very friendly and caring staff

Awesome experience! I stopped in to ask general questions and did not have an appt. They offered me a spot that someone else canceled! All the staff were friendly and accommodating! I loved the ease of the virtual visit after their technicians did a very careful pre-screen! I was in and out of there in about an hour with new contacts and my glasses ordered! They even suggested a similar frame that was covered by my insurance as opposed to the one that would cost me close to $200! Most places would go for the sale, not the customer satisfaction! Would recommend this location for sure! A++

I haven’t purchased from this store in a while. Came in today for a random frame adjustment and the service, professionalism, and overall kindness particularly from SPENCER reminded me while specialty shops are worth it and why I may start coming back.

Best Aunt ever

I found Dr. Kateman on Groupon. Of course, I was exuberant about the deal and got it as soon as I saw it. As always, everything comes with a price, and there were reasons to why he was on Groupon. I have so many complaints, but I will narrow down to the major ones. 1. Unsanitary office I walked in his office, and I was taken aback by how dirty it was. There were files/charts all around the room and garbage was filled to the brim. When he asked me to take my contacts out, I couldn't even wash my hands in the room because the sinks were occupied! Throughout the examination, I was hesitant to place my head on any machine because they all seemed dirty. 2. Does not value patient's time During my entire appointment, Dr. Kateman had constant calls coming in to his personal cell phone. Not only that, he actually accepted all those calls. 3. Highly unorganized After I placed an order for my glasses, the receptionist told me that I will be contacted once it is ready. For about 3 weeks I waited and waited. I eventually gave them a call to check on the status of my glasses. Lo and behold, it was already there, ready to be picked up. When I brought this situation to Dr. Kateman's attention, his exact response was "If it took that long, you should have called". He did not care at all about the inconvenience this has caused me. I am usually not the one to leave reviews, but this experience was by far the worst of all my doctors appointments. I am writing this review so that no one else will go through the same things that I did. It is far better to pay a little more and get the right service. I will never be visiting Dr. Kateman's office ever again.

Karen Collum is the best! I’ve been seeing her at Laurelwood Optometry for over five years and she’s a wonderful, meticulous, and seasoned optometrist. She’s friendly, transparent, and always has the patient’s care needs in mind. Highly recommend her!

I recently had an urgent eye exam. From the moment I walked in, the staff was attentive and understanding of the urgency. The waiting time was minimal, and the optometrist conducted a thorough examination. I left with a clear understanding of my eye health and a prescription. Overall, a positive and great experience that I highly recommend.
