Every staff member I've interacted with is incredibly friendly, professional, and welcoming. The office is clean and conveniently located. Great place all around!

I have been a patient for quite some time at Grayslake Eyecare, and the doctors have always been so kind, thorough, and helpful. I had my annual exam scheduled, but unfortunately, my husband arrived 10 min late home from work before my appointment, and I needed someone to watch our 2 year old. I called and informed them I would be 5-10 min late as a courtesy. The gentleman on the phone said that’s fine, but any later than 10 min, I’d have to reschedule. I left right away, and was due to arrive only 5 minutes late. When I was halfway there, I received a call from them and they said that I had to reschedule unless I could arrive in 2 minutes. I assured them that I would arrive only 5 minutes late. When I walked in, there was nothing they could do for me except schedule me at another location in a month. They said they would send me contacts to my house to hold me over, but I received no documentation or a delivery estimate. I understand being late can cause issues, but I never thought 5 minutes would be an issue. My concerns were ignored and brushed off, and I didn’t feel like my business was valued after so many years of never being late for an appointment. Just be wary that you are not a minute late!

The associate who helped me was very nice and patient and helped me find a great pair of glasses.

I have received optometric care from the Sullivan-Ostoich Eye Center for a few decades now. Dr. Ostoich and his staff keep up with the latest technologies and vision correction treatments and equipment. Very impressive. The optical technicians and office staff are great and accommodating. I’m very pleased with my treatment there!

Dr. Shelus is everything a health care provider should be, caring, knowledgeable, and professional. The support staff is prompt and competent. The facility is clean, modern and inviting. Dr. Shelus took my concerns seriously and answered all of my questions. I give this office the highest possible rating and recommendation.

Dr. Mack gave me back my quality of life! My experience during my treatment and care was beyond superior. Dr. Mack provides such excellent care. His curiosity, investigative mind and ability to connect are beyond any other care I have received from any other doctor. You know where you stand immediately and what next steps look like. He makes you feel like you are the only patient he is caring for and that your needs are always top priority. I can only hope other doctors can take note from Dr. Mack's approach to individual healthcare. He is a superior doctor who brings expert medical knowledge and builds such strong and caring rapport with his patients. I cannot say enough positive things about his treatment and care!

I’ve been a patient here since 2012 or 2013 and thank God every day for Dr. Mack, Dr. K and the entire team. It’s a tough pill to swallow being told you’re losing your sight at 22 yrs old. After many Drs, who all got my diagnosis and treatment plan wrong, I found Dr. Mack who not only gave me hope, but treated and repaired my condition. He cared about saving the vision I had left and restoring some of what was lost!!! The staff is professional & helpful. It’s always a pleasant experience!

Great staff, great doctors. I was seen due to an urgent matter and they got me in right away. No questions asked. For my follow up appointments I had to be squeezed in. Each time Doctor Mack was very pleasant and informative. Introduced himself and acknowledge me and my family member in the room which you don’t get with every doctor. Had to have a procedure and he was also very caring and to the point. I can’t thank him enough for helping me get better. I will definitely refer my loved ones to this clinic.

Took my ma to eye doctor. Nice waiting room. Comfortable oversized chairs in seating area. Right on corner of First ave.
