I showed up for my scheduled appointment only to be told that the doctor did not accept my insurance. It was the same insurance I told them I had when I booked the appointment. Of course, I was presented with the option of seeing the doctor … More

Dr. Zeegen has been my eye doctor for many years and has always taken the best of care for me. I think fondly of him and appreciate his expertise and caring concern. Many thanks for all the yesterdays and today’s.

Dr. Zeegen is one of the best eye doctors around, but his practice has become so successful and so large that when you go for your appointment
you feel you are like a part on an automobile assembly line. Surgery? Top notch; human relations not so much.

Recenty had a chech up with him . It took only approximately two minutes, then left the exam room . I had to as how my eyes were being diabetic before he head’s totally out of the door . He just said your eyes are dry . I miss my previous doctor . I can’t go to him anymore because my insurance now is HMO . Maybe I’ll go back to PPO .

Everyone was personal, professional and helpful. The one thing is Amsler's Chart, the handout the doctor gave me to test my Sight. It was a terrible copy and it was what I was supposed to use to see if the lines were blurry or fuzzy. I had to download a clean copy, because all the lines were not even there. I thought it was funny that the eye doctor would give me a test that was not clear.

One of the best medical offices I’ve ever visited! Always seen on time, friendly and helpful staff, and they validate parking (up to one hour). Dr. Paikal explains what’s going on during eye exam and has an excellent rapport with his patients.

Prior to lasik, I wore glasses for 17 years. I just couldn't take it anymore so upon a friend's recommendation, I contacted Excel and had a consultation. They walked me through the steps of what would happen during the surgery and answered any questions I had. Normally I am an anxious person but felt fine the day of the surgery and it took a total of 5 minutes to complete and then I could see. So thankful for Excel and the wonderful work they did!!

I had a LASIK procedure done at Excel Laser Vision Institute a few years ago, and it has left me with permanent vision loss in my right eye and a condition called Keratoconus. Keratoconus is an eye condition in which the cornea becomes thinner and gradually bulges out into a cone shape.
What makes matters worse is that the doctor who performed the LASIK procedure, Dr. Ferzaad Moosa, failed to warn me that my cornea was too thin to safely perform the procedure. As a result, I now suffer from daily eye pain, migraines, and permanent vision loss in my right eye.
I went back to Excel Laser Vision Institute to share my concerns, but they were unhelpful and dismissive. They failed to take responsibility for the complications that arose from the LASIK procedure and did not provide me with any support or assistance.
This has been an extremely difficult experience for me to endure, and it has impacted my quality of life in a significant way. I now have to live with the consequences of a procedure that was performed without proper warning or consideration for my safety.
I would strongly caution against choosing Excel Laser Vision Institute for any vision correction procedures, especially with Dr. Ferzaad Moosa. They do not prioritize patient safety or take responsibility for the complications that arise from their procedures.
If you're considering a LASIK procedure, I urge you to do your research thoroughly and choose a reputable clinic that values patient safety and is transparent about the risks and potential complications of the procedure.

I had undergone the LASIK procedure in October 2022 and ever since my eyesight has been worse. I can’t get any prescription glasses to fit me like before and I’m left with blurred and double Vision that can’t be corrected by glasses now. I’ve been many experts including a corneal surgeon. It has been a nightmare. I can’t even go down stairs without holding the rails and I’m in my 20s still. Worst decision of my life. The staff has been professional and doctor Moosa always returned my calls and remain excellent and caring doctor. But unfortunately my life quality and my vision aren’t good. And I regret this procedure deeply.
