It's kind here. Optometrists are always on standby, so you have free time to visit. Car parking is free.

Personally, I have only had great experiences with that store. My glasses are done well, the staff is extremely friendly, the prices are good. They listen to all the questions I might have about my vision, lenses, and glasses. It's a quiet and cozy store. I don't understand why the store has such bad reviews when it's always packed when I go there and I have never experienced any kind of rude behavior from anyone. Overall, I would recommend this store to family and friends. God bless!!! ^^

I am surprised by all the negative reviews. I’ve been getting my eye exams and glasses here for years now and never had a negative experience. Yes it’s a small store and sometimes you have to wait a little bit at times when the store gets busy but I don’t mind. The optometrist there is kind and attentive.

Came here for contacts and the doctor wanted to check my glasses (which I purchased elsewhere) - and ended up ruining them. She's a nice lady, but I told her they weren't from here but she was being super nosy anyway. Has been causing strain on my eyes/headaches since - so I'd caution not to be pressured into doing something you are not comfortable with when coming to this eyewear store - especially when it is irrelevant to your visit and if they were purchased elsewhere.

I think I might have been going here for about 5-6 years now. The staff itself is very patient with visitors no matter how hard the visitors make their jobs. The doctor is super professional and genuinely cares about providing the best care to everyone she consults. If you ever feel like you’re waiting too long, know that it’s because whoever she is providing care for, she is making sure she has offered the patient all she can, and she will do the same for you.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Cai for 8 years now. She is very knowledgable, professional, has a great sense of humour, is kind and understanding. Dr. Cai is easy speak with and state your concerns. She truly cares about her patients and the meetings are not rushed. We Highly recommended Dr Cai!

I agree with some recent reviews about her low EQ. She tends to talk down to people, which is typical of some Asian doctors whose clientele can be mainly Asian. Instead of showing appreciation, she has a condescending tone in her voice and I for one am done with her. Also, check your bills. She billed my insurance for contact lenses. I have never had contact lenses.

Been going here for years. Very detailed. They explain everything and all your options. Staff is very friendly and office is clean and modern. They make any adjustments if needed and have a great selection of frames. They have sales occasionally so that's a good thing.

I walked in without an appointment and was greeted with a warm smile and a welcoming hello. The eye exam was the most comprehensive I've had in years. The doctor explained everything and answered all my questions which left me with confidence that I came to the right place. The optometrist showed me numerous selections and offered his advice on the best type of sunglasses for my blue eyes.

The staff who schedules your appointment does not listen to the patients concern or need to see the doctor. This is the second time I have had a situation where I am given an appointment to basically go in and pay the $50 copay and be told nothing can be done at the time of visit or by the doctor who will see me. I suffer from a sty recurring condition, by now I know what the doctor will need to do for me, I explained my situation and what I needed from the doctor. I was offered an appointment at the Astoria office to only take the drive from Bayside and be told by doctor Nissirios he only does the surgery at the Bayside office. Back at the end of July I had the same sty situation I called to see Dr, Nissirios, he was on vacation and wasn’t going to be available for about a month, I asked if Dr. Mahadev can do the procedure, I was told she could, I go in and as I am explaining to her that my sty is back she says, “oh I don’t do the surgery, I will give you antibiotics to treat it and come back in 2 weeks” . At that point I figured I wasn’t wasting my time to come back when obviously my issue and concerns is not a priority to the staff. It is very frustrating to be dealing with an uncomfortable condition I have no control over and to have to be at the mercy of a professional who’s staff does not prioritize your health or well being.
