I honestly didn't even get in to see a doctor. I was experiencing some concerning eye symptoms and was hoping to get an earlier appointment. I was told that they could only see me a month from today despite my symptoms impacting my autonomy. While I understand that the office is busy, there was truly no empathy for my symptoms by the front desk staff. They said I wasn't experiencing a 'true emergency' and that was the best they could do. Then they hung up on me when I tried to get examples of what that office considered a 'true' emergency in their eyes. I didn't yell or raise my voice, I was simply asking this question before I establish care because I have an pre-existing eye condition. Absolutely unacceptable that is the behavior they allow their front desk staff to exhibit.
I just went ahead and canceled my appointment, I can only foresee negative experiences with this office that isn't worth the trouble.

I am so pleased with the results from cataract surgery which was performed by Dr. Schneider. I was very apprehensive about the surgery and Dr. Schneider was extremely helpful...she answered all my questions (which were many) and was so conscientious with the measurements that I am the envy of my friends who have also had cataract surgeries...from different doctors.
I strongly recommend Dr. Scheider for her professional, kind,
meticulous, and amiable manner.

I have been visiting this place for about 2 years along with my mother and so far we have had a great experience. The staff is very helpful and patient. Both the ophthalmologists are competent, professional and courteous

My first experience with this Eye Care facility.
The care and concern appeared professional. The company policy whereby it is up to the physician to randomly prescribe medication or provide a referral, which triggers additional costs to the patient, is THEFT!
I was informed that an additional charge would apply if the doctor has to provide a referral or medication. I REQUIRED NEITHER. I informed the doctor that I have a current pair of glasses and I currently use eye drops. The doctor recommended a new but comparable pair of glasses and new eye drops, which is a different manufacture but basically the same eye drops.
I did not need nor request new glasses or eye drops. At the exit of my visits, the front desk team informed me that I owe additional payment because the doctor recommended OVER THE COUNTER EYE DROPS! Which I have already, a different brand but the same thing and nothing I needed. The admin stated that's the policy! No room for consideration nor common sense. THIS IS A SCAM LOCATION masked as an Eye Care Center! Horrible policy to generate additional payment.

For
Ninani Kombo, MD
Dr. Kombo is beyond the best. She is so caring and thorough. I was frightened to have cataract surgery, but she and her team put my fears to rest. And now I can see through walls!!! I would recommend her in a heart beat.

I have been a patient at the yale eye center for over 23 yrs for a reoccurring eye condition. Over the years I have had some exceptionally caring and experienced doctors, with the exception of 2 separate incidents. The first one was handled immediately and appropriately by department heads. Last year I had to go back for testing due to signs that my condition has reappeared. I was assigned to Dr. Faisyon, and was highly disappointed. Was left waited in exam room for about 2 hours while I watched several patients after me come and go. I was very upset and extremely irritated. I was very insulted with Dr. Faisyons attitude as well and that he tried to make me feel like i was wrong. Gave him a second chance about a month or two ago and found his attitude to be rude, abrupt and condescending. He then referred me to another eye dr for my next appointment. Overall. Yale eye center has some of the most talented and experienced doctors. I guess there are always a few bad apples in the bunch but the good ones are worth it.

Absoluetly horrible, for a "quick" check up I had to wait more than an hour. no matter how many times I told them if they can move me into a room already they said "yeah the next room available youre in" about 5 people left the rooms in 30 minutes but the doctor was no where to be found. Unbelievable

My doctor was amazing. She really knew what she was talking about and they really helped me out with my Keratoconus (however it's spelled. ) For the first time, I'm able to see well.

First off let me start by saying that everyone in this office is extremely kind. My complaint is that I went for an eye exam for prescription glasses and the tech dilated my eye even though I stated various times that I needed an eye exam and that if they dilated my eyes I could not do the exam. They assured me that the doctor would be in before the dilation medicine took effect. It turns out that they actually do this on purpose to save the doctor time and to make more money. I’ve thought through it over and over. All optometrists do the exam for prescription *first* then dilate the eyes and return 15 min later to examine the inside of the eye but this means the doctor must go into your exam room *twice*. At this office they dilate your eyes then the doctor runs in, in an attempts to do it all before the eyes dilate so the doc enters the exam room only *once*. Smart on their part to maximize their income but the patient looses! my eyes were completely dilated when the doc kept trying to have me read eye charts. It was absurd yet he kept trying but all was blurry for me! They could not perform the exam. They already sent me a bill for the exam! Dr Austen kindly told that I could return for a free exam. I waited an *hour and a half* in the exam room for a 10 min exam that didn’t work! Who has time to go back? We all work. Not just doctors. All of our time is important. Sadly, and although folks are kind, do yourself a favor and go see the West Farms Mall JC Penny optometrist. I paid for a second exam there and was seen by an amazing doctor who even called to see if my eyes were still doing ok after my visit !!
