Thanks to Calvin he helped in repairing my glasses by restringing them quick. Very professional, he even offered to adjust the glasses for me to help me from needing to push them up all the time. This is the dedicated place I will come to get my glasses fixed all the time. Thanks Calvin

Customer service at this store is good. But this chain charges exorbitant amounts to insurance. And they own both the most common eye insurance company plus the frame manufacturers. It seems to be a conflict of interest.

Great experience! Karina, the assistant manager, was incredibly helpful and she and Gary, the manager, we so nice! I was in town visiting family and had lost my glasses the week prior. Karina worked with me to have my eye doctor’s office fax over my prescription, took the extra effort to make sure we took advantage of any potential insurance discounts, got everything processed efficiently, and ensured my glasses were ready to pick up within a couple hours. Would definitely recommend them.

Dr. Smilen is very caring for the health and well being of my eyes, I've been with him for years until I got PRK surgery and he's been caring for my post op still. The ladies at the desk are amazing, friendly and will make sure your needs are met. Wide selection of glasses to choose from, some selections are insurance covered, as well as contacts are available.

I made an afternoon appointment approximately four to five weeks ago for a general eye exam. This was a new patient visit. The day of my appointment I called to confirm as I thought it was a little strange that nobody followed up with me to verify I was coming in. I called them and a recording said the office was closed. I proceeded to go there anyway thinking maybe they were closed for lunch. When I got there they were indeed closed with a note on the door that said “Closed for Training”. Needless to say I was very angry that the staff could be so incompetent and unprofessional as to not call me and reschedule. On another note I should have realized there was something wrong with waiting so many weeks for this type of exam. Medical yes but a general eye exam? This practice is a waste of time. I do not recommend using them.

Knowledgeable helpful doctor, kind and friendly. Horrible time management though, expect to wait way past your appointment time before you see him. For my past two appointments, I waited over an hour which caused me to miss more work than anticipated. The office staff and doctor didn't have any sense of urgency despite how long I had been waiting.

Dr. Chandler-Drakes and her staff were so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. This was my first time to the optometrist since I was a child, and I was so impressed by the cutting edge technology and thoroughness of my exam. Dr. Chandler-Drakes was incredibly patient and took the time to clearly and concisely explain everything. Cannot recommend Stamford Family Vision enough (and I already have to friends and family).

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Shanee Chandler-Drakes clinic for an eye examination, and I must say that my experience was nothing short of outstanding. One of the standout aspects of my visit was the clinic's cutting-edge equipment. Dr Drakes has clearly invested in the latest technology to ensure the highest quality of eye care. The advanced equipment made the entire examination process efficient, accurate, and surprisingly comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Shanee Chandler-Drakes to anyone seeking top-notch eye care backed by the latest technology. Their commitment to excellence and patient well-being is truly commendable. Thank you, Stamford Family Vision Center, for setting a new standard in eye care!

Dr. Shanee Chandler Drakes is an exemplary optometrist who embodies compassion and dedication to her patients. From my initial appointment, she impressed me with her genuine concern for my well-being and her willingness to work with my insurance to ensure I received the best possible eye care. Dr. Drakes went the extra mile to maximize all available rebates and benefits, making the entire experience stress-free and financially feasible. Her commitment to personalized care is evident in the way she takes her time with each patient, attentively listening to their concerns and providing thorough explanations for all questions. I never felt rushed or like a mere number during my visit, as she treated me with the utmost respect and empathy. Dr. Shanee Chandler Drakes' exceptional professionalism and compassionate approach make her an outstanding optometrist, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking top-notch eye care.

It seems that Dr. Wasserman's office manager has a lack of understanding of elderly patients as it relates to their general use of technology. My 91 year old mother had an appointment that was scheduled a year prior and the office did not send out an appointment postcard or any reminder other than leaving a voicemail on her cell phone. She does not pickup voicemails from phone numbers she does not recognize in an effort to avoid becoming a victim of scammers. Well, she missed the appointment and Dr. Wasserman's office billed her $75. I phoned and spoke to the office manager and tried to explain this to her, and while she admitted that this has happened with other elderly patients, she did not understand the need to change their practices when it comes to dealing with the elderly. I suggested they either send a postcard reminder or ensure they speak to the patient directly, and not rely on voicemail, at least when it comes to their elderly patients. She said that's not going to happen. I then advised that I will be sure to post a review on Google explaining this so others will know. Well, the office manager perceived this to be a threat (I guess because they have a number of terrible reviews already, many questioning their billing practices and complaining about their office staff), and so Dr. Wasserman sent a certified letter to my mother advising that they were dropping her as a patient because I threatened them. I'm sure this will generate a counter-response but my account of the situation as it occurred is accurate.

Great job, Leonora and Dr Wasserman! Leonora has been doing an outstanding job since joining the practice. The first time I met her and needed frames, I was so impressed by how hard she worked to track down and order exactly what I was looking for to make sure I could make my purchase with you. Since then, her dedication to helping us - by working hard and making it seem easy - has continued and we really appreciate it. She also goes above and beyond in terms of welcoming patients and grabbing forms to get a jumpstart so we’re not standing and waiting, and she has even helped me get an appointment moved up to work better with my insurance. She’s a friendly bright face we’ve come to know and trust and I wanted to commend her on her efforts. Additionally, Dr. Wasserman is exceptional. He is extremely knowledgeable and it’s fun to hear how excited he gets about the science of your eyes. But on top of that, he is warm, friendly and always leaves us feeling confident we are in the best care. We trust him with our eyes and could not recommend him more highly.
