I became one of Robert Wiznia's first patients when he came to New Haven over 45 years ago. He saved my eyesight twice, once when I was 26 and the second time at 36. He is immensely knowledgeable and competent. I wish I could freeze his age so that he never retires! Kind, helpful staff in original office!

Dr. Wiznia is the kindest, most intelligent and thorough doctor I’ve ever known. He saved my eye sight. His staff is top notch as well. Simply the best!

Not happy with the doctor I have chosen...can't get my prescription, which I have been without for more than three weeks since Dr. Guida has retired.

I have been seen in a timely manner for many appointments over the past 7 years. Dr. Stoessel is respectful and caring. She explains the Results of tests and exams thoroughly and tells me what I can expect with my condition in the future. I am extra pleased and would recommend her enthusiastically.

made my child blind, put him in NICU closet at Yale, and then said he went to Colombia in NYC (so many issues) - she needs to stay far away from kids or anyone!!

Absolutely awful. Way over booked every time. Been here for 3 hours already this morning and I am still waiting as I write this. Unacceptable. Time to find another eye doctor.

I don't sure rate 1 is going to be too much for the service that I got from this office. I've been contacting the nurse to give an authorization for my CT scan facility for more than a month and keep posting my CT scan every week more than a month. From last insurance until new insurance in June. Nobody has done anything even I called patient relation and also sent message on my chart. Nurse Brittany said I've not updated my insurance. Only thing she has to say but last insurance 2 months before, she hasn't done anything too until I update new insurance information, she is still hasn't done anything. What's kind of the attitude of the nurse of healthcare worker. They has ruined their image since COVID 19. They thing they could control patient's life? If they don't like any patient, they can hold up the process of checking testing or anything else? This is almost end of June, less COVID but this nurse hasn't even done anything for me. If you are going to see the doctors in this office, please be aware of nurse's services. They could control over your life if they don't like you.

great place. my girlfriend works there, and the few times ive been to visit her, the employess were very helpful and polite, if not extremely quiet and low key. the place has a lobby, where you check in, from i remember you have to be visiting someone, for obvious reasons, to be allowed in. but, once that is taken care of its very open and most halls are quite accessable, and with many old pictures of the place from the early 1900s and even before, and other beautiful pictures and displays. i think i even remember there being a small library type room. i should note, that everytime ive visited her work, ive always come from a different way, therefore my description of the front desk may not be the same as others. but from my experiences, in general, im sure most would find it pleasant, if they can forgive the slowness, as in all offices, in which things seem to happen. my girlfriend tells me all the time that they are shortstaffed some days and are worked to the bone. i think we often forget the employees frustration and stress and workload when we are only thinking of our own misguided frustration that many take out on the secretaries and front desk. it would be better if everyone would send complaints to the higher ups about their frustration, so when you are in that situation and the person youre dealing with seems stressed, try to cheer them up or make a joke, or relate with your own work issues instead of taking it out on them. you dont know what they have to put up with at the job, so just breath.. :-)

I give them a one it's not the doctor . My mother and myself had the worst experience ever at his office .we arrived on time for my mom's 330 appointment .went in doctor dialates my mom's eyes . His help theresa puts my mom in a room explain that she was next to be seen . A lady as we are waiting a lady comes from another room begins talking to lady at front desk .I noticed they where friends .the lady tells lady at the desk that she has other plans and needs to hurry .my mom steps out room and sits next to me outside the room door.the lady at desk tells lady waiting to be seen come with her .they proceeded into room right at my feet where my mom was waiting.my mom pocket book jacket was still there.lady that works there comes out the room throws my mom stuff on a table and says I don't want u to think we stealing her stuff .goes back in room where my mom was .doctor comes out from seeing another patient . Tells my mom come on your next as they go in room doctor noticed the ladies have taken the room .he signals to my mom come on and go in another office .my mom goes .the lady who works there go behind them opens door says to doctor that the other lady has something to do. He says he can only go so fast .she says leave her an go do lady . He proceeded to go to other lady .I speak up and say we been here for 2and half hours and you going to put your friend first .she says she asked her to. I say my mom will never come here again. She says she doesn't care. Doctor vtrys to act like he don't Know what's going on .let me not forget that my mom and myself are afro Americans they are white.
